By the way, what do you guys think will become of Kabuto and Orochimaru, once this ordeal is over? I don't even know where to begin with predictions. 

Orochimaru he will be otokage in his Otogakure.Kabuto might return to orphanage...

I feel the story is a bit rushed, though I quite understand the rationale behind. For Sasuke, there will be no better time to confront Naruto and to execute his agenda but this very moment. He got all the advantages. Apart from Kakashi and Sakura, there are practically no one else backing up Naruto.

 

Kakashi has literally lost his eye power and currently need Sakura's help to stand properly. Sakura is being depicted to be on low chakra since few chapter back (though I'm quite happy Kishi pull some trick and made her punch Kaguya on the head). All the bijuus are up in the air.

 

If anything, Naruto has more liabilities than Sasuke. Naruto need to protect Sakura, Kakashi and save the Bijuus. He's not even in his Chakra cloak mode. At this moment, Sasuke has all the benefits... hence the right moment to execute his plan. I won't be surprised that he's been planning this all along.. defeat Madara, defeat Kaguya, let Kakashi runs out his eye power, let Sakura runs out her chakra, let the undead Hokages gone... and now, when it's only few of them left, get rid of Naruto.

 

All of us see Sasuke's betrayal coming, we're just not sure how or when it will be done. It has been foreshadowed so long ago, reiterated again, and today we finally got the answer.

 

I'm still crossing my fingers that Naruto will die a poetic hero death. Although with the new movie, that's highly unlikely. Or even better, he may live a bit longer, but all the life span he had is almost depleted, leaving him with only few good years to live...

 

As for the pairing stuff, for me as long as Sakura finds out her true love is Naruto, it is more than enough. I'm not worried about NS at all, I'm just curious how Kishi will execute it, whether it will be a tragic love story, or a happy lovey dovey story. I think at the moment any pairing related stuff will be pushed as far as possible, as ambiguous as possible...

 

Let's see. I'm thinking that we'll get similar setup with 2011 OVA for Uniclo... :) here's hoping for the best of NS....

Knowing Kishi I'm afraid that this will be Sakura during the fight between Naruto and Sasuke.

I'm convinced that we'll be thrown into yet another time skip. There are still quite a few loose ends that need to be tied up, and I just don't see anything reaching a smooth resolution, unless Kishi takes his time with it.

Yup. He was just as intent on watching how Sasuke would react to his conversation with the previous Hokages and seeing what he'd resolve to do, accordingly.

I don't understand what Kishi wanted to emphasis with Obito turning to a tree?! And I still belive it's gonna be a Part 3 with this new revolutionized system and we'll probably find out more from there....

Anyone wondering why was Sasuke's sketch for the new movie not released? Maybe there was no option but to seal him in those Kohakunojohei? In this way....Naruto doesn't kill Sasuke and as long as Sasuke remains sealed, the spirit of Indra also remains sealed....maybe that way?
