I like Hinata, but I wouldn't say enough to really call myself a fan. I liked her development in part one, and could emphasize with her a bit in that. Certain aspects, anyway.

But good point, cuz come to think of it if all I knew about her was from part two she wouldn't be at all interesting.

I've seen episodes now and then, but it's been a while. Would watching it or reading it be better?

 

I like Hinata enough, but she really doesn't do much. So I really don't see what her fans are always going on about, personally I would rather see Ino or Temari with her screen time.

@Pepsi dude, it was 2009! It is 2014 now. 5 years have passed since then. It is a long time mate. I understand your insecurity but not the preferance part you stated. If anything, let us discard all this reasoning we give, every damn reasoning even discard mine. Let's just have a look at the manga without even going into it, like just looking at it and reading it. Now, I tell you on the basis of what I can see, Sakura is just 'convincing' herself she loves Sasuke. It is very very difficult to let go of your first love and it was the same case with me. I just had this revelation myself that I was just clinging and convincing myself that things will be alright but they won't and more of I was convincing myself that I still loved her. And my case was errily similar to Sakura. Not that the other one was like Sasuke, but it was more or less the same scenario. I found myself 'convincing' myself and that is what is the case with Sakura. When sometimes, your subconscious will takes over, your true emotions surface and that was what happened with Sakura, everytime. Whenever her subconscious will took over her, it was all Naruto on her mind, she didn't even think of Sasuke. Excellant examples of it are healing after Heaven and Earth bridge incident, Konoha in shambles after Pain's attack, the whole war, the CPR. I'll give you another approach for this, again discard everything I said. Now, since Sakura 'believes' she loves Sasuke, how will she 'think' about Naruto? That'd be the worst portrayal of her character. As long as she 'thinks' she loves Sasuke, she will never think of Naruto when love plot is concerned. The moment she realises she is over with Sasuke and loves Naruto, that will be the time when she will no longer think of Sasuke but Naruto when love plot will be addressed. Get my point?

There are two more things I'd like to state. Every NS development, moment, revelation is true. Kakashi's words, the confession, Yamato's words everything. But....the part where main problem rests is, EVERONE knows Sakura does not love Sasuke anymore but Sakura HERSELF does NOT realize this. Now everyone can just guide her and and tell her that you are over Sasuke and that you truly love Naruto, but she is the one who has to realize that and that realization cannot be forced by anyone. They can guide her and help her sort her feelings but the realisation is what she has to carry out herself. As long as she doesn't, I am afraid the guidance of others is of no use. Second thing I'd like to state is what I personally like to say. Sakura, to me, is a classic case of 'The heart sees what the mind fails to notice'. I assume this sums up most of the things. I won't force my opinions on you and you are free to believe whatever you wish to

I don't think Sakura-Chan ever loved Sasuke . I mean a lot of people claimed they love they boyfriend or girlfriend but a lot don't even know what love is . Some think love is instant and some think love happens after sex . Once you truly fall in love you don't ever fall out of it . Sakura-Chan barely even got to know Sasuke and treated her like kitten so I don't know why Kishi made her feel like she loves Sasuke it's kind of strange considering the situation between her and Sasuke . Maybe it was for plot reasons she had feelings for Sasuke but it definitely wasn't love . What Naruto has is true unconditional love and it developed over time and getting to know her more than just her looks . He will always love her no matter what . That's my opinion . I'm in love with a girl I have been for over 5 years and like Naruto I won't give up on her no matter what . We aren't together yet but one day I feel like I'll get a chance . But that's not why I love her , I love her because she's her and all her qualities and personality and integrity and it's the same for Naruto .

1) Well, I can't force you to agree with me, but I would say that the developments that's going on now is saying something and the only real answer I can give you is wait until Sakura narrates that conclusion. She always does, because she's like Naruto, speeches inner or to others. Funny when you think about it.

2) Pretty much the same as the first one. If there's anything we all learned is patience and yes, it's a huge b*tch, but that's Kishi's game and he sure love to mess with us. Honestly, by the end of this battle, we will get our answer.

4) I know you're not, but she hasn't play any favoritism. It just so happen the one who she love or loved is the guy who no longer works like the old Team 7.

5) The thing is Kishi doesn't give that much of a gap of rest. You do get the conclusion but it will last only a chapter or two. I guess you can say it's an ongoing event in the series. As for this conclusion to the war, I do believe we will get a good rest, because knowing Kishi, this is all about Naruto, so he will get shine in his own birthday. No, it won't be a volume worth but it will be satisfying enough.

2. I have my doubts that Kishi will bring a conclusion to the problem I have, It seems more like the name of his game is giving a satisfying conclusion that doesn't resolve all the tangled up confusing crap in the middle since it was just used to mislead us

Which is part of my problem with 540 (if Sasuke was the one she was referring to) It would impl that she still planned on having a relationship after all the crap that just happened it would also retcon her supposed honest confession as well as other moments where she has shown a conscious romantic interest in Naruto

5. I hope so, but will there even be time for his birthday? It would be neat if the celebration was also on his birthday but, there still has to be a lot of kitten to be resolved before any celebrations are made.

I'm aware the interview was made in 2009, I was referring to pre-war not currently I'm well aware she doesn't favor Sasuke over Naruto but my main problem is before.

4. Well, like I said to narusaku256, we don't know if the buildup is about love or Team 7 talk. If the latter, then you really have to take Kakashi's word for it, she moved on a long time ago. If former, then you can take his word, but she hasn't noticed until now. I think the closest that gives you the idea is chapter 635. Sasuke is back, so why no real smile. If she's not happy, then this isn't worth the trouble. Exactly what? Find out soon.

2. Its not the conclusion that's the problem NS is still assured as endgame the problem are the confusing parts in the middle that Kishi is screwing our minds with

4. Which adds more to the confusion, during the confession why would she tell Naruto that she's over Sasuke only to turn out that she thinks she still loves him.

Well we know he plans on killing Naruto, tearing down the shinobi system and becoming Hokage it just depends on whether he will do that in another story arc or at the end of this one, might as well have it at the end of this one no need delaying for another story arc when Kishi keeps going on and on through the narrative about how this is "the final battle" and the climax of the series

She clearly knows that she has feelings for Naruto otherwise her confession wouldn't be honest, we know that she understands that Sasuke is bad news to be around so her not thinking of Naruto doesn't make any real logical sense.

I always thought Sakura gave up on being with Sasuke romantically a long time ago. You could even argue after her left the village since all of her priorities switched to bringing Sasuke back for Team 7 and Naruto; it was herself too, but just to bring him back. But the most obvious proof of that was during the Kage Summit Arc. She perfectly displayed how much she'd rather accept a relationship with Naruto and even in 540, she was ashamed of her Sasuke feelings. That doesn't follow the idea she was still looking to be with him.

Sad story:

I used to be a big Hinata fan and I still like her but not as much. One of the reasons I liked her is because of her cuteness and mostly her shyness that makes her adorable and now I'd like to punch her in the face whenever she does it. Also, her undying love for Naruto. I used to get butterflies whenever she's around Naruto  . I can't believe that I wasted my time on NH.

I think I'm insane. I just got an account on NF. There's a pairing debate thread about the Big 3 ... wondering if I should go in there and take on all the odds.

I do think this way. But unfortuantely I don't find any proof regarding this. I mean sure there are many proofs, but the next moment it is dismissed and replaced by 'Sakura still loves Sasuke' and I want to be proven wrong on this part. Can you share your insights on the part 'She gave up on Sasuke long ago'?

@Pepsi Yeah, you are right on this part and I'm just thinking about that part. Its like you said, Sakura's feelings are like quantum mechanics. One thing becomes possible then the other becomes impossible XD

I'll admit it. Saying that Sakura no longer chased after a romantic relationship with Sasuke right after the timeskip is debatable. That part just comes down to my interpretation of Sakura. Before Sasuke joined the Akatsuki and became an international criminal, Sakura hardly ever focused on her romantic attachment to him. She just focused on bringing him back, putting it at the very top of her priorities for Team 7. I wouldn't say Sakura still didn't love Sasuke, but I feel like Sakura gave absolutely no thought to being together with Sasuke because what mattered most to her was returning him to the village.

 

However, if Sasuke came back early without Sasuke's gradual fall to darkness, then I would think she'd be extremely confused and conflicted of whether or not to purse her affections again instead of completely dismissing it. That's just how I see her.

 

As for now ... I feel like Sakura already got her reality check in 540/again in 576. She can think she loves Sasuke, but just because you 'love' someone doesn't always mean you want to be with them. She established Sasuke as not a great guy and now she's going through a lot of disappointment and hurt over just how Sasuke usually acts (576/578). I just don't think Sakura desires a relationship with Sasuke since she's finally starting to see him.

 

It's not only that though. She's also torn over her relationship with Naruto, even though she likely doesn't know if she loves him or not. I just think Sakura knows it's 'different' than a regular relationship and there is a possibility she could love him but is not quite sure. She senses her relationship with Naruto is not the same as it used to be and neither is the one with Sasuke so she doesn't know what to do about it.

 

Basically Sakura's seriously confused and conflicted right now, even more than she would've been if they brought Sasuke back earlier on.

I know they hate the truth, but the more people state it, the more insecure they will get. NH/SS try not to be effected by NS shippers words, but it gets to them. And if they keep trying to deny the truth, post NS fan art for fun. Good Luck! ( though if you send a link I would check it out.)

 

@ Sakura I used to like SS back at the beginning. Luckily, once I got back into the Naruto fandom, it only took me a month to realize how terrible the couple is. Right now, I'm borderline hate/tolerate with him, so don't feel bad for liking HInata. SHe's not a bad character, just a one dimensional one.
