Name a time she hasn't helped him.

 

That is my challenge to the other fanbases. Name a time Sakura hasn't at least TRIED to help Naruto in some way...I'll wait.

It's possible that it was done on purpose and replace it with Mei for good laugh. That said I don't know why he didn't do that. I don't want to think more of it. It's best to leave it as a mystery and if it never shows up, then I have no idea.


Yeah, like that would change everything. At this point, we can seriously write off NH and just deal with SS, even though we have two nuke waiting to be online. If it's not more serious than Lee or Ino, why should I care. Unless you're telling me LeeSaku will be canon. And if you dare single Hinata out, I will go slow-mo and beat down on you guys, so don't.

Well it won't be Naruto, that's for certain. People keep make fun of idea of being Hyuuga instead of Uzumaki as well as having their eyes, even though that don't make sense. Sure, their kids but not him. Anyway, the point is it's something that's only treated a fantasy, not what's foreshadowed to happen. Otherwise, I guess Ino won love against Sakura since she got TWO.

About my postwar fantasy. I've already told you that I wanted Sakura to be possesed by Kaguya. 

 

So after the fight Kaguya is sealed inside Sakura with the help of Minato and reincarnations. Sakura's hair stays white as a reminder.Then, the Alliance is freed from the illusion. Sakura doesn't want people to know what happened to her, but Naruto proclaims her a true heroine of the war. She becomes a sort of jinchuriki just like Kushina. Some months later Sakura and Naruto are officially a couple. Naruto is just a step away from becoming Hokage. At this point I imagine a scene in which Sakura is looking depressed because of some mean rumours regarding her relationship with Naruto and her being Kaguya's prison and a walking timebomb. And Naruto finds his lover like that and tries to cheer her up by saying: "Hey, I feel proud being with you, Sakura-chan. It took a lot of courage to confess while the girl of my dreams was trying to chop my head off, you know, so you can't make me unlove you no matter what." And instead of hitting him, she starts crying and Naruto panics, blaming himself for everything. And it's Sakura's turn to calm him down: "I'm sorry, Naruto. I'm such a fool to listen to what others think. As long as you're with me, it doesn't matter. You're the one inside my heart, not Kaguya."

Anyways, NS is canon in my head because SS is dead now, and I know Kishi will never make Sakura single.

-Naruto's parents approve of Sakura (Kushina's request, Minato's blessing)
-In the RTN movie we see Sakura's parents like Naruto
-Sakura is the only love interest who supports Naruto's dream
-Sakura is the only love interest who has shared a scene with everyone of Naruto's family: Minato (Bilogical Father), Iruka (Father), Konohamaru (Little Brother), Jiraiya (Grandfather), Tsunade (Grandmother)

Well, there are some similarities. )  Rukia was possessed thrice if my memory serves me right (movie+fillers+manga plot).

But in Sakura's case she could be possessed with a reason: her heart has a  crack called "lack of self-confidence", and her desire to gain more strength (equal to Sasuke's and Naruto's powers) could be used against Sakura.

Anyway...hm, when I first got into Naruto I kinda leaned toward NH, but after watching a good part of the series and getting a good feel of the characters, it was like "Nope, we're going with NS". Although I still thought NH was cute, but now I find myself being immediately turned off by any fanworks containing NH. IDK why, maybe because I see it and the NH/NS couple wars every-frickin'-where.

I'm not even sure why I prefer NS to NH, I just do. I've noticed that other pairings I ship have similar chemistry/personalities, so maybe that has something to do with it.

 

As for what happens in the manga, I don't really care what Kishimoto does pairing-wise, so long as it makes some amount of sense. Neither are pairings my main interest; I'm rather in it for the characters themselves and not who they end up with.

 

Have to say, though, that if Kishimoto did set Naruto up with anybody, I think it'd most likely be Sakura. They know each other the best, Naruto always loved her, the best information that I could find hints that Sakura feels the same way...it just makes sense.
Plus, to my knowledge, the NH fanbase is mostly from Western fans. Japanese fans from what I heard tend to lean more toward NS. But I'm not expert or anything, so, y'know, I could be wrong on that regard. *shrugs*
