This is a story I heard from [creator] Mashima-san: when it comes to creating a relationship among the main characters of a series, creators have a hard time deciding which direction to go with said relationships. Although many fans claim they want to see a relationship between Natsu and Lucy, others would prefer to see Lucy with Leo. What do you think?

Can't wait for more NaLu goodness!! But I hope Mashima takes it slow like he did in Rave and gradually build it up towards the end.

Sting and Rogue are probably stronger. But Natsu (and Gajeel) are better fighters. It's the same thing with Wendy versus Chelia. Chelia was stronger, but Wendy was a better tactical fighter, and in the end they were at a draw. Sting and Rogue have probably relied on their overwhelming strength all this time, and never really learned to fight properly. And the power difference between Natsu and Sting isn't so overwhelming that Sting can win on that alone this time. Skill, tactics, and experience matter too.

Natsu and Gajeel both have a lot of fighting experience, and they've both had more than their fair share of tough fights against overwhelmingly powerful enemies. I don't know how tough Sting and Rogue have had it, but I also think it's possible that they might have got too used to using their earth-shattering power to brush opponents aside.

Sabertooth have become too used to stepping on other guilds like ants, and they most likely have never gone up against anything like Fairy Tail before.

Considering that they've been into many life or death situations for all of their lives, it's no wonder they can tank just about anything Sting & Rouge can throw at them. And that's not all, the last villain they faced really pushed them to the brink of death.

Oh yeah, btw I wanted to comment on your MUI fic. It's really great and BacchusxCana isn't a really bad pairing too. I also find it interesting you admitted that you're a real life Cana. It makes me wonder if you would be the one to come out on top if all of H&E had a drinking contest . I also love the theme in the story.

As I'm forbidden by my religion to not drink a drop of alcohol, its very interesting to know a bit more about wine and other liquors. Not too many authors would delve into a theme involving wine & liquor in a fanfic, and yours is some of the best I've seen. Hell, your fanfic is pretty much like a novel version of a couple of those wine mangas I see here and there. And I actually prefer being described rather than reading it in picture form.

I do have one critique though: I think you're playing Cana's tsundere-ness wrong. The tsundere trope is done and executed through the character's actions and interactions, not described through their thoughts.

That aside, it's still very good. I also can't wait for the epilogue where Cana breaks the news to Gildartz or at least someone from the guild (Mirajane, perhaps??). It should be epic seeing him busting down Quatro Puppies' guild doors to find Bacchus. Oh yeah, there's also something else. If you're interested, you may want to retcon Bacchus' origin because here:



Take a look at some of the eastern countries. To me, Sin seems to be where Bacchus probably comes from because it sounds oriental and it's also strangely similar in shape to Japan's peninsula.

Lastly, basing on the romanization of Bacchus' name, Bacchus (バッカス Bakkasu) I think his original name is "Ba Xiao Tsu" of the Du family. His family would call him "Ba Xiao" Of course, I don't know jack kitten about Chinese, but I can make a fair guess, I suppose. You may want to ask someone else.

I've always figured that Fiore was to Earthland's Europe-like continent as Spain or perhaps England is to ours, and I'm setting "Quon" quite a ways away, probably on the equivalent of an entire map's length over. That map is awesome though; I've never seen it before.

I'm only a real life Cana in terms of my liking of alcoholic beverages XD I'm definitely not a tsundere myself, which is probably one reason I'm having a tough time writing in her voice accurately. I'll try to keep in mind that her words and her thoughts don't necessarily match.

I'm going with Bacchus as a nickname or a code name. But yup, his real name is definitely Chinese in this story.

Actually, looking at that map, would Gray and Ur be from the Iceberg kingdom, or just the very northernmost points of Fiore?

My heart sank when Natsu and Gajeel were down on the floor with Sting standing victorious. I really believed he was giving them the beating of a lifetime, but no. It turn out that even though Sting's Dragon Force is genuinely strong that both Natsu and Gajeel have a crazy enough endurance to withstand it.

And now Natsu pushed Gajeel on to a cart that leads to some random mine that's below the arena. Seriously, what's with that random event? But I guess Gajeel's motion sickness face makes up for it. The poor guy really isn't enjoying being a true Dragon Slayer.

I kind of feel bad for the twin DS, after all that hype and even though they really are strong with Dragon Force, Natsu still makes the pair look like a joke.

Some have been saying that maybe Gajeel will find some rare ore to eat at the mines and that will make him activate Dragon Force. I'll be honest, I kind of like that theory. Although it seems that neither Natsu or Gajeel would need Dragon Force to defeat them, just to put their all in the fight.

Wow, thanks for the map, Codus! I didn't know Fiore was so small compared to the rest of the continent. The way the early anime episodes panned over it, I always imagined it to be continent-sized itself. Instead it looks more like FT-verse's England, at least in terms of landmass.

XD I really wish Mashima would spread the word to Kishi. Sadly, I don't think Kishimoto gets as involved with his fans as Mashima does. I'm not even sure if Kishi has an official Twitter page.

Still, this does make me wonder how much fan-art awareness these mangaka have. That Dan/Tsu kiss did look awfully similar to that LadyGT pic.
