your not being fair to sasuke here, how can sasuke possible pick himself up when something keeps knocking him down.

he tried getting up boundless times....but theres also something else that pushes him straight down again.

sasuke keeps getting hit down with countless things.

naruto is getting brighter and brighter same with gaara

but crap keeps happening to sasuke.

but seriously...we can go on and on about this.....

if you dont see it my way thats fine. but this is how it view sasuke.

To me personally and let me stress personally Sasuke's bad qualities out way his good qualities, that's why I focused on them.


I didnt mean to say that he became friends with Naruto just to cut his bonds. What I meant to say is that rather then to just forget Naruto he chose to fight and kill him so that he could gain more power by breaking his bonds. So it was horrible to realize that his new bond was just a step latter to gain the upper hand power wise.

To me it's annoying because Sasuke wasn't around long enough to really prove himself more. Everyone likes to point out the few moments he actually did something that wasn't centered around him. To me personally it isn't enough, yes it happened but its a shame he didnt do more. It was disappointing to see Sasuke actually get to be a likable only to turn around and regress. All of this can't be helped since Kishi decided to take Sasuke down that path.

I agree, Sai has done so much more. As for Sasuke I know he wasn't always the charming gentle he is today, but I was explaining why I personally thought he wasn't a better teammate then Sai.

okay- apologies for misinterpreting your post konohakitten. I get what you mean now- and on the disappointment with Sasuke-deal- and sai-as-a-better-teammate-thingy. Hell, I'm wasn't even disappointed or horrified with Sasuke after the kill danzo-arc- as annoyed and pissed off at him, now reading chaps about him just feel weary- its the same avenger-sctuff over and over again.
I think even if Sasuke lives by the end of the series (which is slight chance at best), he wouldn't even regret trying to kill Naruto and Sakura- though he might regret leaving them, which personally just makes me want to smack the boy since it'd be so hypocritical, but exactly like him.

Still think its both 50% Sasuke's fault and 50% Itachi's fault.

something like that- Itachi's done pretty much nothing to communicate with the brat, and the brat's done nothing but obsess about Itachi. Jesus those two are bad for each other- its like they feed each others worst qualities. I'll screw you over- encourage you to be crazy and while expecting you to somehow turn out better, and you'll listen to my crap for it's face value- then get more and more pissy without bothering to think for yourself logically. *sigh*

there's also the whole- designated-antagonist/rival- role the Sauce has been stuck with since day one. If you look at shonen in general (even seinen)- a lot of times the antagonist role and rivalry are two sides of the same coin. I think he was originally created to be Naruto's challenge- and Naruto's job might have started out with getting stronger from the underdog position- but its been moved to ninja-jesus-saviour-of-the-world-territory, and thus the trolling.

im not sure.......i mean

1) he threatened alot of them...and he is on the bad side of the war

but he hasnt exactly "killed" anyone important.

I was thinking that, if he were to forgive the village, he would do so while still hating it, like Naruto did with Nagato.

i like sasuke and i dont like him being bashed. (though i understand hes a villain)

i came here cause i got tired of people bashing sakura everywhere else. sasuke doesnt need so much hate.

Haha, It's not bashing if it's true. Bashing is saying something insulting and untrue about someone just out of spite or bias, my dear Merry-chan.

well both sai and sasuke have trouble putting out their emotions really.

sasuke really wanted to be naruto's friend, just like naruto wanted to. but he only pushed him away because hes socially bad at that (its all itachi's fault!!) just like sai.

sasuke TRIES to act cool. but can be childish also.

hes just afraid to drop his guard, because of itachi really. (it kinda made him not trusting of others..seeing as his close brother killed the people he loved)

but he shows he cares through his actions, by risking his life for naruto and sakura.
sasuke was a good guy early on in the zabuza and haku arc.

sai is good also

Not that I don't agree that Sasuke is like he is cause of his messed up life but all his actions were chosen himself so It can't be a defence for him un fortunately. Not saying you can't like him, just saying his actions are not forced.

*shrugs* Isn't saying he's a "self-absorbed jackass" (quoting someone else here; just clarifying that) the same meaning as "jerk"? Just in a more specific way?

I understand your dislike of cussing, but really, I myself think of them as just other words in the English language. Now, if someone called Sasuke something that's blatantly untrue, perhaps a "manipulative a**hole", then THAT I would not be fine with. Not because it has a cuss word in it. Because it's untrue. When has Sasuke ever been manipulative? He's the one who's been manipulated. If someone called him that, then I would object.

But "self-absorbed jackass"? I think that that's pretty true. He's been obsessed with himself since he was introduced.

Cause they are. They were just used inappropriately as insults so people branded them as cussing

Okay I say Sai would be a better member but Sasuke should still return to the village, not as a member but still have affiliations and come to protect it every now and then. But that's just me IF he doesn't die
