meh, it wasn't so bad, it had some funny moments and a very small NS moment.

I think this episode expanded Kakashi's character pretty well. Really liked the part when he was looking at Minato's face on the mountain. Moreover, the music was great. Really suited the episode.

I liked the episode, it was a good chance to get a breath. Ididn't quite like the style of the faces shown at the beginning of the ep. It had a pretty good new ending, I don't know why Hinata was put there...

the episode was cool but....then ending...sakura looked devilish...and why the heck is hinata even there??? it had naruto, sasuke, kakashi, sai, yamato....and sakura. those are all part of team 7 in some way but.....hinata?????? what the heck??????

A good filler episode I found the Gai and Kakashi race funny. I'm also impressed that Pierot didn't screw with the scene of Naruto talking to the rookies they let Hinata stayed quiet like in manga canon and she didn't blush or thought about him that's a good sign all in all I give the episode a 6/10.

Ok I liked the episode. The animation was decent and Gai and Lee are hilarious and always lighten up situations lol. It was nice to see Naruto and Sakura walking together <3 I wonder if the stone carver got Kakashi to take his mask off? Oh yeah and next episode we get to see the small NS moment at Ichiraku right? The one where Sakura tells him Tsunade's awake?
Nothing significant really happened in this episode though. It seems we are finally diving back into the story next week.
ONE thing though. Why was Hinata in that ending along with Team 7? I mean, really?
Ugh.

I am so sick and tired of these guys trying to make a side character more than they are. Can't they only have her play the part of the key pairing foil, I'm willing to settle for that. Well, at least, they can't the other ending away, where Naruto and Sakura was alone smiling at each other, kinda of a reassurance kind of thing.

I didn't bother watching the episode, but went and found the ending on Youtube to see what the fuss was about. (Double-checked with the episode on Gogoanime--just skipped to the end --, so I know it's legit.)

For everyone complaining about Hinata being there...why aren't you complaining about Gaara or Minato? They're clearly not part of Team 7 either, yet they're in it =/

forgot gaara and minato. but minato is naruto's daddy and gaara was in the last arc. and will be apart of this new arc. so it makes kinda sense. but hinata isnt important. its like putting Lee in the there since he likes sakura or Ino since she likes sasuke.

The endings don't always necessarily have to do with the current arcs, though. And, for all we know, the lyrics of the song pertain to all of these characters, but we won't know until they're translated. Not saying it's completely irrational to think that the studio's misplacing Hinata, just that there was some complaining about her not needing to be there when the ending was mostly Team 7 centric, even though there are two others that--by that standard--don't belong either; or that by her being there at all it's somehow promoting NaruHina, even though she's there for only a few seconds, with a single headshot, and isn't interacting with Naruto at all...

Wasn't bad. Wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. The animation in some parts was really high quality, and at others it was really low quality.

I like that the gave Kakashi and Guy a serious moment. I don't think they're shown as equal rivals enough, in canon, anime, or fanfiction.

Hinata being shoved into the ending theme was a little weird, but the artwork and the song for it were also weird, so I don't really think there's anything to complain about there. If anything, I want to complain about how ROUND everyone's heads are during the ending. Seriously, they look like Weeble Wobbles.

I didn't really feel much about this episode - though the animation was pretty nice at points.

I liked the moment that they gave Gai and Kakashi - they have an interesting relationship to say the least.

I also liked that they didn't fill the talk between the rookies with a bunch of fillers, though they did have a short unnecessary flashback, but as I said, the keyword there was short so it didn't bother me really.

It didn't bring anything new to the table that made me all that interested in it.

I hated the new ending - I don't like the song and I don't like the animation style. I much preferred the other ending - even though both consisted of mainly still frames, at least the other had a catchy song and nice drawing style.

I hope the new OP, when it comes, is nice at least (I do like the song for the current opening).

Positives- Looks this was done by the team that does a better job inserting filler bits with canon, looks like this is also the team that likes to animate Naruto and Sakura moments Kishimoto hints at but doesn't show- The animate the scene that Kishimoto hinted at, where Sakura questions Naruto once they are alone. It nicely makes the point there is no barrier between them. Naruto point blank asking her if she's satisfied about the situation with Sasuke, and Sakura saying she trusted Naruto because she believes he has a plan. Naruto's surprise- he was expecting this to create a barrier like with all their other peers, but gets Sakura's complete trust instead. Sakura makes certain there is no barrier between them, this is completely in character for Sakura and just repeats canon words about her trust in Naruto.

Instead of being the usual painfully bad and out of character filler last week's preview made us fear, the animators actually added depth to Guy and Kakashi's friendship. Pretty much clinches that it was done by the team that actually attempts to work their filler bits in with canon.

Interesting dynamics they added to Koharu and Homura. they had Koharu being okay with Kakashi becoming Hokage but Homura initially definitely was rather reluctant. Kishimoto had them saying essentially- well I guess it's you now, in just kind of neutral a tone.

Negatives- the ending song animation, badly done and was pretty much completely pointless. Hinata's insertion and the contrast between the way they drew Sakura vs Hinata (Sakura- not as pretty and a kind of evil smile, Hinata the only one they drew pretty and sweetly smiling) it was just the usually Pierrot Hinata fanboying. Basically it's a big nothing of an ending. Was annoyed that there was no Kushina in the ending even though her flashbacks are coming soon- makes me wonder if the Pierrot guys aren't that keen on Kushina anymore since Kishimoto showed she was a tsundere girl too. They showed Minato but not Kushina... On a minor annoyance level the sculptor and his apprentice filler characters got a bit tiresome.

Im pretty wlel with Ciardha on this one.

As a plus added I got some good fun out of the brief moment with Karin and her telling off the interrogation guys. Now thats my firey redhead =^__^=

I actually liked the new ending. The music could've been better, but the scenes being portrayed reminded me of the dynamic and feel of part one. It's always nice to feel that energy and action without having massive flashbacks.
