[Strangelove]

Hey, NaruSaku fans are as bad as SasuSaku fans--many jumped on the SasuKarin bandwagon as soon as it started simply to spite SasuSaku. I am really against both pairings--Sasuke was never meant to get himself a girlfriend after all of this.

And finally. It was rubbing me the wrong way, all those ooc moments where he was acting like Team Taka was the new Team 7 and that these people, after his whole speach waaaay back about walking the path alone, are his new bffs and in Karin's case, his new GF. I'm sorry, but that was a huge contradiction to everything in part one. Some SasuKarin fans will say that Sasuke has treated Karin "special" off-screen, and therefore their relationship is deeper, he has feelings for her, despite the fact that it goes against what we know of him as a character. This is the man who left his village, killed his brother, and is now willing to destroy that village regardless of all the people there...

And yet Karin would get special treatment.

This works--this proves the whole "he's in the darkness" actually extends to everyone. So far Team Taka has been cheating; Sasuke realies on no one... But Team Taka. He will destroy anything... But Team Taka. He has no room in his heart for love/would make a bad husband for anyone... But for Karin, who is in team Taka. This has brought me to ease that yes, when Kishi says Sasuke is going downhill into the abyss, it includes those people who had this "off screen, unexplained" relationship with him. Sasuke is willing to destroy anything in his path, and in all honesty if he has spared Karin, a hostage standing in his way of something he seems to have promised his brother, then that's just... It's a cop out.

Bottom line is; I hope this is for rea and the girl is dead. I also hope this is the end to yet another Sasuke fight.

As a Karin/former-SasuKarin (no, I did not side-ship; it was my main..) fan, this chapter really shocked me. I'm not saying Sasuke loves Karin or anything, but it would be strange for him to kill her when she's useful/his "favorite," as Madara stated. On the other hand, there was that look he made on pg. 14-15. However,I think if he aimed to kill Karin that he has truly snapped, and irredeemable. I never was a huge fan of Sasuke, but all respect I did have for him is completely gone.

I really hope Karin is alive, because she's my favorite character. It would just be a horrible way to die anyway, especially when all she's done in this fight is care for Sasuke. =(

Karin isn't on the same level as Sakura and Naruto. She was never with him in his momentary good days. So she has no reason to believe he is anything other than what he has always been towards her. It's pretty obvious now that he does think of her only as a tool. While I think she should have realized that much earlier, at least now she should finally see Sasuke isn't good for her and that he just doesn't care.

I'm wondering if she will though, or is Kishimoto using Karin as a symbol for women who fall in love and stay with destructive men just because the guy has a small attraction to them? If so, I think we're back to one of the plotlines I guessed might happen:

Sakura sees Karin and sees what her fate would have been if Sasuke had taken her up on her desperate offer in a last ditch attempt to save Sasuke from jumping headlong into the darkness. It will allow her to close off much of any lingering feelings she has for Sasuke as she saw him back when she was 12.

Kishimoto has also shown how strong an empathy Sakura has for downtrodden people from when she was 12. I'm wondering if Sakura might end up rescuing Karin from Sasuke. (As a sort of karmic paying it forward for how Ino, Tsunade, and Chiyo (hints of Shizune as well) helped her.) Something I've really liked about Kishimoto's writing all along is how he shows the strength female bonds of friendship and doesn't sexually fetishize it like so many shonen manga writers do, and has a stronger woman standing up for a weaker one and encouraging them to become stronger.

They do realize that in manga/anime, when you make a face like that, it's pretty much over for them right?

Especially if Sasuke killed someone that close to him... Guess they can't use that "BUT SASUKE THOUGHT OF TEAM 7 AND SAKURA" excuse anymore.

I mean, how many times does Sasuke need to attack his friends for them to realize that he is evil?

I do have to agree with everyone about something. This scene alone killed any chance SasuSaku might have had. It went from slim to none in one chapter. I don't know when it will finally click into their heads that they are never getting together.

I think people who think Sasuke will redeem himself in some way and become the "good guy" are either in denial or they haven't been reading the manga.

No, I don't think they're in denial. 'cause I can definitely see THAT happening because of the Foreshadows between Jiraiya & Naruto. Jiraiya couldn't make Orochimaru go back to the light, So this time it will be Naruto's turn but he will succeed (even if for a moment) it's definitely better than not being able to change him at all (Sacrifice at the last minute by Sasuke) He can at least die in honor like his brother did. I'm sure Itachi would be happy if Sasuke did that.

So Sasuke, a psychopath who has killed many in his wake, betrayed his "friends" not once, but on several occasions, and is willing to use anyone to gain power for whatever reasons he has will one day decided "hey you know what, I am tired of being the villain. I am a good guy now."

Really? I mean really?

No offense to you, but from what we have gathered in the past chapters I think all the other characters have been convinced that by now he is not redeemable. In fact, I don't even think Sasuke wants redemption.

Sasuke is not really the Anakin Skywalker of the Naruto universe. You actually had to have a heart in order to change and Sasuke, never really had one. Not even when he was a "good guy." He was more like the "anti-hero." He only does something because it is beneficial to him. Unlike Anakin Skywalker however, he never really had a heart for anyone in the first place. His brother maybe, but Itachi destroyed that with the stuff he did. Madara, as well, is corrupting him even more.

I don't even know if he can be redeemed.

I really do not want to see a Star Wars ending to Naruto with Sasuke all of sudden killing Madara or whoever and then dying a heroes death.

I know this would never happen, but it would be funny as hell if Karin fell in love with Naruto and Sakura got pissed.

I highly doubt that Sasuke will like to wear the hat of the leader from the same village he despise so much, most likely he will burn the hat to ashes because he hates anyone and anything that comes from Konoha.

I dont believe Karin is dead. I do think that her trust in sasuke will be swayed a little but.

I wish that Sakura & Co are watching the fight so she can see what he's really like.

As I said, judging from the camera angle, either her heart or lungs were hit.

Page 13, middle panel. It's possible that she was hit in the shoulder.

Keep in mind two things:
1) Danzo is taller than Karin
2) His right shoulder is gone. So when it looks like he is lined up even with Karin, his chest would actually be offset from hers.

..^Is it me but Karin had a presence of blood coming out from her mouth
a tendency her heart was also pierced.
So i am no medic student, but if her shoulder was hit, I think there would be NONE presence of blood coming from her mouth.
