[Strangelove]

Well everything relating about Naruto and Sakura has been pretty much covered through this thread and the spoilers thread, but I just point out a few words of my own that already been said:

1. Sakura blushed when she told Naruto "I love you" and couldn't look at him just like any other girl who truly loves a guy or vise versa would do.

2. She blushed again after hugging Naruto and further confessing, more brawny points for her truth to loving Naurto.

3. It was obvious that when she mentioned Sasuke and closed her eyes, Naruto new she was lying about that part of giving up on Sasuke.

I don't think the next chapter will be a make/or break knowing how Sakura blushed and reacted when mentioning her love for Naruto. Sakura is just going to have to further prove Naruto like Naruto had showed her throughout the course of Part 2 on how much he loves her or kiss him and admit she would like to have Sasuke back but she love Naruto for realz.

Did anyone find Tsuchikage's name "Ryoutenbin No Oonoki" a mouthful name as in weird ?

I also wonder what Fuu meant by Danzou may want his body soon? (theirs goes the Danzou=Madara theory again)

This is indeed the biggest cliffhanger chapter we have every had! Please don't disappoint us Kishi!

I don't think were gonna have a make or break chapter for at least 150...

All right, seriously? I've had enough. This is my long ass essay, so try not to fall asleep, because I'm tired of all the negativity.

One fight does not mean the end of NaruSaku. Here is my take on the chapter;

Sakura was trying to spare Naruto the pain of knowing that the Konoha 11, his supposed ''comrades'' had gotten together and decided it was time for Sasuke to die. So she tried to use Naruto's love for her to her advantage.

Do you recall Sai telling Sakura that, basically, she was killing Naruto with her promise? Then she started crying like crazy. Then she decided to put an end to it. She said, ''the fool's in love with me, so let me do it.''

That line is important, so remember it well.

Right, back to what I was saying. Sakura falsely assumed that Naruto would give up on Sasuke if she asked him to and told him that she loved him - ''the fool's in love with me...''

In all honesty, I'm surprised no one saw it coming. I sure as hell didn't. The fool's in love with me so let me do it? That basically says ''I'll use Naruto's love to my advantage and tell him.''

Kiba remembered a scene where Sakura asked no one to say anything. Basically, ''don't tell Naruto what we're planning, let me do it, because he's in love with me.''

Honestly, I'm sure Kiba was surprised just as much as Naruto. Sakura decided not to tell Naruto about the Konoha 11's plan, which would have been painful to hear, but rather decided to let him down gently and tried to use his love for her to make him stop.

Now, before you go and say, ''Sakura's playing with his feelings and using him,'' ask yourself this; why is she doing it in the first place? To protect his feelings, not for selfish reasons. Her heart was in the right place.

Another point I'd like to make. Something that I saw when I was skimming over the thread; ''Naruto only got angry after Sakura mentioned Sasuke.'' He was perfectly fine with Sakura's confession. But it all went downhill when Sakura brought Sasuke up.

Another thing I'd like to bring up; Sakura was only half-lying. Like I said to a friend, it's not like Sakura just guessed and got lucky and made up all that ''Sasuke hurt me everytime he sinned'' stuff. It's real. Sakura is hurt by Sasuke. He's evil, not the Sasuke she (thought) she knew, and seeing him like that hurt her. That statement is true. And about her loving Naruto... yes, some of it was shallow, but was it not true? Has Naruto not been by her side? Has Naruto NOT been there to comfort her? Again, it wasn't just a lucky guess, but the truth. Really, the only lie she told was that Sasuke meant nothing to her.

But that further proves her love for Naruto.

See, back then, she held Sasuke in regard above everything else. But now, she's denouncing her feelings for Sasuke and putting Naruto's feelings before him. She's desperately begging him to stop chasing Sasuke AND saying ''I don't love him anymore,'' which isn't totally true, but shows that she takes Naruto in a higher priority than Sasuke, fully willing to give him up if it meant Naruto's happiness.

Sound familiar...?

Did she do this because of guilt? Most likely. But it was a guilt strong enough and so emotionally attached that she was willing to sacrifice her supposed ''true love.''

And it may not have been the most skillfully executed confession, but it was still the most profound, and if you guys would look a little deeper, you'd see it too.

Wowwie! I wanted to see more Kisame vs. Kirabee but maybe next week We also learned how Aloe Vera's jutsu work and that curse doll jutsu was pretty damn cool too.

Now on to the meat of the chapter... seeing it fleshed out certainly adds more to this confession than what we got with the spoilers. Like Lee's reactions! Kiba's reaction just convinced me that he more than anyone else had a good idea of what to expect.

While this was awesome because Sakura has finally admitted that she sees Naruto in a new light, there was just too much about this confession that was very un-romantic.

I didn't like that she couldn't look him in the eyes when she reiterated that she loves him. At first I thought it might be because she was nervous or anxious about confessing, but I don't think that she has a shy personality like that.


At any rate, what Naruto says about Sakura lying to herself is true. Consider my reasoning, please. She says the reason she's come to this point is because Sasuke has been away and continues to grow distant while Naruto is always next to her, loving her. But Sakura listed all the wrong reasons for loving Naruto. It's true that Sakura has come to admire and cherish Naruto, which is where that line about being like the rest of the village comes from, and what Sai told her made her feel warm and fuzzy, but it certainly seems like she's just trying to use his feelings for her to pursuade him not to chase after Sasuke. She said nothing at all about loving Naruto for who he is, while Naruto has always known that it's Sakura's personality and inner qualities that made him fall for her. What happens when Sasuke comes home and is suddenly close to Sakura again, is what Naruto is thinking. She's considering living with Sasuke "out of sight - out of mind" so to speak, but she's truly lying to herself if she thinks she can simply replace him by loving Naruto.

This is why she needs to confront her feelings and gain closure by also confronting Sasuke. Her love for Naruto needs to be it's own entity, and not a replacement for her broken heart.

None of this makes me "lose faith" or think that narusaku has suddenly become unattainable. Every relationship takes work and these kind of trials are what make a couple mature together and stay together in the long run. Once again, I have to applaud Kishi for making a believable drama that's relate-able to real life.

@ The Shikamaru theory: Like I said before, it's incredibly lulzy, but not impossible. I honestly think that would be even meaner then simply the actual Sakura messing with Naruto's emotions, so after I finished laughing, I'd feel sorry for the kid I guess...

@ anyone... does anyone miss the sexy jutsu? oddly enough, I do... though that's completely random! The thought of Sasuke doing it makes me giggle.

As for whether or not Sasuke can return home is ultimately decided by the mangaka and not some trivial factoid from the manga.

@Yakura; Really? Come on, now. How accurate are predictions? And for god's sake, ch 469 is barely even out yet and there are spoilers already? I'm sure it's just NH/SS/AntiNS/AntiSakura fans anxious to bring down our morale, so much so that they've mysteriously come up with spoilers/predictions on the release date of this chapter.

Way too much Sakura bashing, and too much negativity. : ( This is a NaruSaku fan site, not anti-Sakura. Besides she has done nothing wrong, unless trying to make the one she loves most happy is wrong. Granted she went about it wrong, but not like she knew everything to say.

Sakura looks so pretty when Naruto gives her that angry face. She looks scared and innocent, but wow, one really pretty look for her.

When I saw Yamato's face - LOL XD Haha, and man he got pissed, but then again he doesn't understand the situation, just like Kakashi.

Naruto, whooo, he is mad, but more serious than anything. Very interesting.

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE : We get a Danzou half sharingan, half byakugan, very interesting character he shall be. Then we got Raikage leading the alliance. Nice. Plus Gaara hasn't left yet so he shouldn't interrupt Naruto and Sakura anytime soon. Then we got Ponta, who is alot bigger than I thought. So yeah.

Prediction: Okay. I kinda figure this Naruto and Sakura talk will go a little bit further b4 Kiba jumps in and lays down the Sasuke elimination plan. Well their you go, my prediction- much more drama after he jumps in. But maybe he won't. Heck! Who knows, for all we know, Sakura may very well kiss Naruto next week. She is very gentle with him now. Well, we'll see. I just wanna know one thing. WHY DO THIS IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY!!!!!!

Dang. If only time would speed up. But looks like daylights savings happens to be smacking an extra hour on us LOL

Ya'know Froot, your coment, the long one, makes sense, and it actually gave me a bit of hope, but I'd be really angry if Sakura were to use Naruto's feeling so that she can convince that Sasuke isn't worthall the effort.
