As for the promise of a lifetime, rather than Naruto flood Sakura's heart with his own pain of unrequited feelings,he silenced them, as hers were more important. Naruto cares and loves Sakura enough that he would sacrifice his own feelings and chances with her if that would make her happy.
I think it alot of it is an immature view of love.
Many of these same people believe that once Naruto hears Hinata confess, he'll fall immediately in love and forget about Sakura.
I'm not bashing them or saying they themselves are immature. They just have an immature view on that subject.
Nor am I applying this to all NaruHina-ers. Only those who make those arguements.

It's the belief fueled by An Enduring Faith that Naruto will be hugely imapacted when he finds out that someone loves him and has always achknowledged him.

I personally think that None of the characters had full resolution, just mid-resolution. If they were truly resolved, they wouldn't need to train so hard these 2.5 years, now would they? Neji got rid of some random sound villain, and nearly died in the process. Big deal.
I think there will be a final mega-arc where all the support cast will have one last big battle, before the main characters reach the final villains and the manga ends. It's explained better in my upcoming structure essay.
I never got That one either. XP "Naruto will automatically fall for the first person who has romantic love for him because he is That desperate, fools!"
Like um... ugh. >=\
And it's That sort of attitude that made me write the "Why I dislike NaruHina as a Hinata fan" essay. Last I checked, Hinata has a crush on Naruto, but she hasn't even explicitly stated that her goal is to end up with him. Last I checked, her goal is to end up Like him. Besides, one of Naruto's dreams is to end up with Sakura. So do you hate Naruto if you don't like NaruSaku?
Sheesh.

Actually, there wasn't that much to Neji's character other then the destiny stuff he was spouting. He definitely changed his views after Naruto's fight and receiving his father's scroll from Hiashi.
I don't recall ever reading that. Mind telling me where you read that?
Look at Mel Gibson's father who believes the Earth is flat.
That is what I would call ignorant.
I guess you're right though. If my statement was true, than racists wouldn't exist anymore, but they still dooooooooo :[.
Though I call them ignorant to.

In the way that Naruto constantly pursues Sakura as a romantic interest? Even more so than Hinata has ever made towards Naruto, in fact.

I still don't think it's his goal like becoming Hokage, but I'm pretty sure it would be nice for him if she ever did become his love. It's the way I see it, since Naruto is willing to sacrifice his happiness for her, that would also mean to let her go as well.

If Hinata was the one destined for Naruto to have affection for, her growth would have to surpass that which Sakura has acquired during her time around Naruto. To be fair, through Naruto's words, Hinata has been able to shape herself better, which is a plus. But she still doesn't understand fully who Naruto is, even with the revelation to her he is the Nine Tailed Demon Fox host.
And to add to Magus's post, Naruto will always make sure Sakura's happiness is above his own, even if her heart leads her elsewhere. It would bring him joy if she would come to him, but he knows she is her own person and respects Sakura's space when it is warranted.

What I mean is that if you consider that one of Hinata's "dreams" is to be with Naruto, just because she has a crush on him, then you might as well consider one of Naruto's "dreams" to be being with Sakura, because he obviously likes her.
Besides, the word is "dreams," not "goal."

Beyond stupid.
I replied:
Everyone knows Sakura gets bashed way more than Hinata because of how she was in the earlier stages. It's not even a matter of who gets bashed more.
And stop talking crap like you know Mizura. There is no veil there. No reason to be.
Mizura even used to ship and debate for NaruHina.
How stupid would it be to hate a character because of a pairing?
Just like me I'm a Hinata fan but I don't support NaruHina. The logic is understandable.
I'm guessing those who like Naruto do not have to support NaruSaku.
Hinata's character does not need to revolve around Naruto,Simple.
What I like about Hinata also doesn't realy have anything to do with him.
So stop getting 'mad' over assumptions.
IT'S NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO LIKE HINATA AND DISLIKE NARUHINA. People are too thick to grasp that.
I barely even knew what I was rambling about because I was so baffled by stupidity.
This guy also told me there is an episode where Sakura encourages Hinata to confess to Naruto. Strangely I can't recall it. >_>

Besides, the word is "dreams," not "goal."
'Dreams' can also mean 'goal,' which is what I took it as since Naruto's 'dream' is to be Hokage, and he's working his ass off for it.
I also don't consider one of Hinata's dreams to be with Naruto. If it ever did state that, then so be it, but I always got the impression that she wanted to be like him.

and i ask it again do you think if sakura would spare second glance at naruto if sasuke was still in konoha? do you even think her view of naruto would change? and i did not see the i hate hinata sites when i said hinata is very popurlar and did not know most of them want her dead. the ones the sakura never have said anything along those lines some may but not as much as the hinata haters do. and what have hinata done to make people hate her that bad? nothing if you ask me. and hinata does not just have a crush on naruto she really loves him you can see that when she comfort him about the fight with neji. she truely cares for naruto and she has not even know him that long. she knows the pain of lonelyness and having people look down at you. i think she wants to take away all of naruto's pain and sadness so he can be truely happy she is the only one that ever seen behind naruto's mask maybe she seen it even before he told her. what do you think if hinata or sakura died like some want would happan to naruto? my self think he would not feel anything anymore he would just be a empty shell of his former self. you see how kakashi away crying over the death of his friends. naruto would with withdrawal in on his self. would have lots everyone promised to keep safe he would just become a tool the fallows orders with think about what will happen. if you want to know what i mean by withdrawaling and stop caring about anything read this

I've watched all the fillers. There was no such thing. The only person who came to mentioning romantic feelings between Hinata and Naruto was the princess in one of the filler arcs, who started "You really like him, don't you?" (or something like that)
Said princess later asked Naruto to stay with Her.
YES, because she started to look towards Naruto Before Sasuke left. Even Sasuke noticed (rooftop scene, where Sasuke mentioned that Naruto was the one who saved Sakura, and Sakura end up just looking at Naruto and smiling). Even before Sasuke left, she had started warming up to him. Sasuke only accelerated events by making Sakura realize that Naruto understood her all along. But the foundations of trust, camaraderie and fondness were there before he left.
People also want Ino, Tenten and Karin dead. They haven't done anything bad either. Some people just don't like Hinata's shy personality, it is a matter of personal Preference (personally I don't care that much about this particular fault).
Sakura Consistently won the "most hated character" threads before part II started, and the hate was even high into part II, with some people calling her gain in power unrealistic, and others calling her a b*tch for "taking Hinata's place besides Naruto" (or not being "faithful" to someone who basically left her). Then when she started doing less, she got labeled "useless" all over again.
And that's After she's already proved herself. Hinata hasn't proved herself in part II yet.
No she doesn't. That's why she never even Thought of reaching out to Naruto: because she completely failed to see that he Did need someone to help him back up. She just assumed that he did so just fine on his own! As a result, team 7 did much more for Naruto just by sticking around him than Hinata has ever done in her years of looking at him.
And Damn they're using fanfics now! This goes to show how out of touch some of them are with the manga. XP

In the one sence I do see something started but whose to say "and hopefully Im dead wrong" it ends like past animes where its an unspoken love where we know they like each other but nothing ever comes from it. Its one of the main reasons Im so obessed with this relashionship, its a bonding, closeness and Naruto enduring sacrfices for her that makes me love it so much. Naruto has always and will always put himself in front of blades for the people he cares about.
btw I love in Episode 11 where he's watching Sakura work in the hospital and hes all in astonishment. He def still likes her

i really do feel sorry for darkhope having to put up with people like this as NaruHina fans, such a large chunk of them are like this too lol
lol the fanfic evidence!!! I think that's funny
And the NaruHina fanbase....*sigh* Actually, not all of them are that bad, but yup there are some that are.
I just got neg repped and cussed out for saying:
I think Sakura should be with Naruto ^__^'''
(Don't hit me! >___<) *covers head*
That's just my feel....I like their relationship development ~
I was frightened.
Ah well. Things happen
But as far as the emphasis on NaruSaku:
djquicksilver99 basically summed it up - I <3 this pairing to death, it's just so awesome and full of win Unlike a lot of romances out there, it's a very..."actions speak larger than words" thing. I think it's the most amazing thing to see how gentle and protective Naruto can be when it comes to Sakura. It's like a whole new side to him. And even better, when Sakura starts to SEE it, some of the smiles she gives him are looks i don't think she's even given Sasuke NaruSaku isn't overly-sugar coated nor is it sparse of development/evidence, it's just awesome! xD
And even if i wasn't biased, I've gotta admit Kishimoto really stepped it up when it came to the NaruSaku-ness in Shippuden. From the day he stepped back into Konoha...and within the matter of a few chapters he just got it rolling. Go Kishi!

I think why so many NaruSaku fans are getting their heads bit off and granted a theory at best it most likely Shipuuden. Theres so much Naruto and Sakura moments now. Meh who knows whole next saga all 3 of them could set out to do their own thing.
But for now Yah def go NaruSaku, its the feeling we get when we see a close moment and Naruto has to ruin it by being Naruto, but thats why we love him
