How much do those spoilers reflect the general reaction of the fanbase? What if it is just mad NS fans that are ranting?

it doesn't seem like NS fans are ranting to me... Most of them are just neutral fans.

Not Rikodou, just some observations by me:

The reviews are ordered by votes, the most agreed ones shown first and then descending. The movie currently has a ~3.2/5 rating based on users reviews, it would be an equivalent of 6.4/10 on IMDB.

Most movies get lower and lower ratings after the first week. 3.2/5 is pretty bad.

According to a few people on the Yahoo movie reviews, Sasuke was in the movie for about 1 minute and there were hardly any characters in it aside from Naruto, Hinata and the villain. One very apparent NS fan was vocal about how empty this movie was compared to the Ginatama movie. I haven't watched Ginatama so I wouldn't know. Some said RTN was a better conclusion. If there's a better translator among you guys you should get them to translate some comments as I am far from perfect.

Kishimoto kind of lost, but that doesn't mean we won. 
I really don't want to rain on anyones parade, but really, no matter what Kishimoto will say, it doesn't change what has happened. A lost war is a lost war, no matter the circumstences of how it ended. The difference between a white flag and the battle till the last man fell only changes how the war itself is looked upon.
The damage is done.
Even if they decide to make a NaruSaku ending because the sales were so bad or Kishimoto get's on his knees begging for us to listen that he always wanted NS and was forced by those bad bad people to make NH, it won't undo the movie and the real ending. It's the same crap that JK did with Harry Potter. The Story was done, written and sold. End of it. They failed, and no matter how much they try to justify or repair it, the trust broken by the fans will never be undone. I for example will never in my life watch another creation of this man, and the story can be told 1000x better than Naruto. 
I wouldn't care.

The mere that he was okay with calling this couple the red herring. Okay with having Sakura downplay the feelings Naruto had for her in the movie? Okay with allowing this movie to pretty much erase the bond that NS had in general and give the heroine title to a side character speaks volumes. All trust is lost and those who feel chested in Japan with this movie, I hope they're done with this crappy author also.

I suppose that influences spoke in volumes regarding the ending. Kishimoto is not stupid unlike some around here might consider. It is quite the opposite, let's take Sai for example. A simplistic yet great idea; he used this character as a placeholder for him to tell different scenes and most importantly, squeeze out the importance of this story. He also tried to hint at the ending pairing for so many times but something just happened.

 

Was it the assistance he received from his co-workers or the studio? We might never know but I will be able to accept, for one, the rightful ending.

What I think is so exquisitely bogus about Sakura's dismissal of Naruto's feelings is where she gets off thinking Naruto had something to compete against. If Sasuke actually expressed some form of affection toward Sakura, rather than perpetual disregard, I could almost, maybe, see it, but Sakura's feelings for Sasuke were always one-sided. By Sakura's logic, Naruto would have been going after the whole harem of girls from their class who had one-sided infatuations with Sasuke. But he didn't. WHY? Because he was only ever interested in Sakura!
