Ayato does care for people, it's just with Hinami he's a fricking saint compared to how he treats the others. I'm sure Ayato will help once he finds out that Sasaki wants to protect Hina as much as he does.I always thought Ayato does care for people, but it has to be ghouls side. Perhaps Hinami made him see in a much better light like put them first over anything else. Like perhaps she can be the one to help Ayato to give human a chance. Like I said, I think Ayato will be part of the faction that Sasaki/Kaneki will soon to have.

Ah, welcome back! How was your trip?
It was cool at first, but started getting old after the fifth day because it then became a trip about Temple seeking and praying for like 5 to 10 days straight and I was like ugh... don't get wrong i'm not against praying but when you go to different places just for that then yeah it gets kinda annoying, then we boat riding and first day it wasn't bad but every stop it became kinda like that, and the only day where things were different were when we went to go see a hindi movie and go for a massage. That was basically the trip though I gotta say riding Buisness Class on the flight there and back home was amazing. So if I had to some up my trip with words I guess just Wash Rinse and Repeat. Over all the trip was okay I just feel like it could've been better.

I ship it because I saw something in the later chapters between them but I didn't know if its romantic or not, so I don't put much thought of it(I didn't care for it at first but something in the manga changed my mind xD)
Yeah it's not that I don't like them together, cause they are compatible, I just don't see why everybody is so knee-deep in their own headcanons.Like I never even thought of shipping them until everybody pointed out that they were the same age, and then after that I started to see how Ayato cares for her. But I've never seen anything hinting at a "romantic" relationship, or anything more than comrades really. We don't even know how close of friends they are, if they know anything about each other at all.
I think it might really become canon, because AyatoxHinami is a fan favorite. But that's fine by me. I just don't see it as being already developed like everybody else does though.
The headcanons....I know how you feel on that but I feel it more with Touken (which is why I stopped looking for the couple)...I don't like any fanfiction of TG because for some reason, I feel that this is a manga that doesn't need a fanfiction especially romance like how people want with Touken but that's me, I hope I worded this right xD

I couldn't agree more on Kaneki getting happy ending.
You know what it is. We don't have to make up stuff like in Naruto or even Bleach. The series is legit on the pairing that we don't need to work a fanfic. Naruto is clever to do that because too many openings (for good or worse), so fans get to mess around with. Sure it turned out for the worse, I mean look at the ending, but it sure rallied up fans.
