Summary: TG anime is enjoyable for normal viewers but dependable on fans, Root A is lackluster but awful for the fans, and the overall is harmless but begs for Brotherhood edition.

You mean when Season 1 ended? Uhm, I believe it ended in September last year, a day after the manga to TG ended. Yeah, it was a dark month in the TG fandom XD

Also, I was talking with someone really knowledgable about this story and we think that Ishida foreshadowed the next story arc to start from chapter 33 based around Tsukiyama's family. Ishida has been writing Tokyo Ghoul: re parallel to the original story. In :re, we get introduced to Nishiki, Touka and the coffee shop in the same order with the original, then proceeds to move to a CCG heavy arc with the introduction of Hinami. The introductions of the characters and the stories are parallel to the original Tokyo Ghoul. Then, at the beginning of the auction arc, we see Shuu's father participate in the auction with the number plate 33, hinting that the new arc will start at chapter 33 focused around the Shuu family. We think the reason Ishida made this chapter into chapter 31.5 is so he can fit everything he needs to before he gets to chapter 33 to start a new story arc then.
