It'd be nice to see volume 1 reaching a Million sometime around this year XD I'm pretty sure that it'll happen. I think AoT is doing fine with sales. It just looks like the hype has died down quite a lot ever since season 1 has aired in 2013 (two years of waiting already, ugh). But for a long time, it'll continue to be the only manga that can rival OP. Hopefully, TG gets bigger. Here's what I don't get. I see posts about Touka being alone is sad because of this and that but she has no one to tsundere on, which people agreed and laughed like it's normal. Now with Sakura, it's disgusting and horrible. To me, I always see Naruto filled with casual, while TG has much more core readers than casual. One Piece is mixed but more of core.
Bottom line, hearing that is only asking casual reader that don't understand the atmosphere.
