Root A

I don't even know where to start. Tbh, Arima never showed up a lot in the manga, but we were always aware of his dangerous presence more or less.
What Root A left out for instance is that flashback scene with Yomo in which it turned out that Arima killed Touka.
You have no idea how many things were changed or left out in Root A...

I'm going to think Ishida wants to sabotage his anime for the hope of the reboot. I mean HxH got a huge rep from their remake.

First, the animation is terrible along with the sound affects, the have nice soundtrack which get repetitive and unfitting for the show! Kaneki isn't given any development, so you can't relate to him!! The fight scenes are horrendous, its ok at its best but never amazing, the whole Kaneki joins Aogiri is pointless and Eto has no reason to show up alot like all she does is does a sinister laugh, it had potential to show something different but they decided to go the manga route like it got confused on what they were doing half way! They had potential with Ayato vs Sunohara but nope, it was forgotten! Everything is a mess but I wanna see how it ends and if Touka has an important role in the end, yes SP sucks so much that I wish they didn't animate TG at all They made everything less impactful and everyone looks so bright to me

First of all: Studio Pierrot, notorious for its bad animation quality (most of the time). Tokyo Ghoul is no exception to this. The animation is sometimes so bad, it hurts my eyes.

WTF was the point with Kaneki leaving Aogiri Tree?! How did it really affect the anime? NOT AT ALL.

Leaving out the entire Kanou Arc. The most informative arc. Great.

Music. Awesome. But it's overused and played in the wrong moments. And I'm sick hearing even the piano version of Glassy Sky, lol.

They make things more confusing to anime-only-watchers such as the whole thing with Ukina.

Oh well, I guess Ishida is doing this on purpose b/c he wants his manga to be adapted by another studio one day.

A reviewer on animenewsnetwork.com gave Episode 10 or Root A an "A+". He actually said that it "could give a grade higher than A plus for a half-hour of anime this engrossing." Keep in mind that he is an anime-only-watcher.

While I don't necessarily agree with everything the reviewer has said, I've noticed how extremely excited many anime-only-watchers such as this reviewer are right now about Root- Mangareaders such as us will obviously always be disappointed. Despite the rather mediocre animation, do you guys see that it is the actual manga material that entices the anime-only-watchers? B/c let's be honest: If Root A had actually stuck with the manga material for the Aogiri Raid, that arc would have elicited the same type of excitement from anime-only-watchers. I don't know about you guys, but whenever I see someone catching up and finishing TG and :re, I have this...satisfying feeling b/c someone else gets to read a truly good series. Yeah, anime-only-watchers have no idea what they are getting into if they decide to pick up the manga.

Mangareaders have a hard time anyways truly enjoying this episode. I'd be lying if I said I was completely happy about this episode. But the anime made me personally care for Koma and Irimi more.

If this anime had been handled by another studio, had sticked to the manga, and had at least 24 episodes per season, this anime would be in the top ten. Right now, it's the anime to Nanatsu no Taizai/The Seven Deadly Sins that seems to be pretty famous even though in my eyes, TG > Nanatsu no Taizai, lol. It's just that one got adapted by Studio Pierrot and the other by A-1 -.-

HxH got a reboot for anime and it did amazing job on capitalizing its series that it was among the best to many. The first version was good, but this one nailed it. I honestly believe that this series can achieve the same magnitude of amazement. The main problem is the fact it's handled poorly with not met animation and storyboard. It's seinen and they got this? kitten. This screamed MadHouse and everyone knows it. At least the series is ending in anime, so we can hope for remake in the future. I wouldn't guess HxH would get one, so with TG growth, we can only hope.
