There are no love triangle in ATLA and harry potter between main cast. It just two side of shipper that consist main cast.

Onepiece doesn't has romance.

I don't mind love triangle as long as it done right.

Ichihime > naruhina.

And there are no love triangle in the breaker, it's a harem.

Idk, the first encounter I ever had with the bleach fandom someone asked me what I shipped, i said that I wouldn't mind IR or IH, and the kid wrote me a sermon on how Rukia was a whore and how I should just light myself on fire for liking her and stuff like that. It runs both ways. That person I said I followed had gotten like 4 hate mails in an hour saying how stupid she was or something along those lines.

orihime is always being slut-shamed. in fact, if you were on tumblr when 589 came out orihime was accused of trying to get into ichigo's pants. the slut shaming on that day was through the roof. orihime is basically the sakura of bleach, constantly called useless because she's a healer and not a fighter. it's been like this since day one.

... This is why I hate love triangles to death. To me, it always, always creates unnecessary verbal arguments (tumblr would be a better place w/out shipping wars). And it's not just mangas! Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, Harry Potter, ATLA & TLOK- the shipping wars were kittening annoying. I myself fell into the trap and got caught into the shipping wars. Sometimes, my ship won, sometimes it didn't. After the end of a work, I was always asking myself if a work would have been better if there had been no shipping war? Would I myself have focused more on the individual characters?

The only love triangles I am currently feeling comfortable with are the ones in the Breaker and in Magi. I genuinely do not care if my ship does not become cannon b/c the other ship is just as qualified as my ship to become cannon.

If you suck at writing love triangles, follow Oda's example, and leave them out -.- Otherwise, you'll split your fandoms for the wrong purpose.

Thank god, Tokyo Ghoul has no shipping wars. It's Touken, and nothing else (for now). At least that fandom is united.

But Naruto... The last few weeks before the ending were hell. The shipping wars intensified and every freaking little hint was treated as a catastrophe/ miracle. I'll make sure not to emerge myself into shipping wars to that level again.

This was the only time I actually lost but due to pure bs....I was never huge on fandoms when I watch something except this one...after it ended lol But to me, a love triangle was just Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke where Sakura was falling for Naruto and but they decide at the very end to put Hinata and just take away everything from Sakura and give her Sasuke like she never developed

True, in ATLA there aren't love triangles, but shipping wars DID exist. I only listed that as an example though. I never was even aware of the shipping war in there until I joined this thread (seldomly used internet back then).

The Breaker: Yes, it is a Harem, but I there is a chance that Shioon may end up with four different girls (Sae-he, Jinnie, Sae-he, and Sosul). The reason why I am saying four is b/c I've already encountered these four types of fans. It really is written in the stars with whom Shioon will end up in the end.

you're definitely right, but the hate for orihime is overwhelming compared to rukia. everyone loves rukia, myself included, but they give orihime such a hard time for obvious reasons. i'm not saying that ih fans are innocent because they're not, but they are much more civilized and less entitled than a lot of the ir shippers that think bleach is about ichigo and rukia. the ir fandom is much larger than the ih fandom, so it's not surprising it's like this.

I find this story about kishi's life to be sad even if i don't like what he did to his own work. Him mentioning about his love life for a short time really does make him into a loser could this be the reason why he made all pairings into a possibility since he couldn't get the first girl he likes?
 

 
Sad indeed. If it wasn't for the fact he mislead us for 15 years, I would have felt sorry for him.

It is.      This is my take on it, my personal opinion: female characters go two routes. If they play the role as Ms. Fanservice, then the fandom is impressed easily by them (Hinata- who didn't do much for most of the story but is now the heroine of Naruto). Or, if the female character does not play the role as Ms. Fanservice, then she's judged more harshly (Mikasa- like I've said, with people accusing her of being too manly).  This is how almost every shounen female character gets judged. From my point of view, as a female, this is what I see happening all the time in bigger fandoms like Aot, Bleach, and Naruto.

There's one character I know who is mostly a healer but does not get the amount of hate Sakura and Orihime does. Wendy. Aside from being an all-round moe, she also knows how to kick ass and take names. I get the feeling Mashima really learned from Kubo and Kishi on that one. And she's years younger than both of them to boot. Oh, and she also gets some really nice development. I sometimes feel Wendy was created to mock both of them.

 

Oh, let's not get started on NaLu. Yellow and Pink? but with more development? Really does feel even more like it was meant to mock Naruto or NS itself.
