I think it only became too deep during 699. I think that it could have been done right, but there were certain things that needed to happen.

way before that. destroying the themes of this story is too deep and characters acting ooc is too deep.

Yes, but before the ending, everything was reparable in my eyes. The ending shattered everything into itty bitty pieces.

when you destroy the core themes in this series that has long been established as something positive, that can't be repaired. ninjas don't even feel like ninjas anymore, more like wizards and wannabe dbz characters. i didn't expect part 2 to turn into such drivel.

Well even then the prophecy didn't come true because peace wasn't achieved with there being a part 3 and Bolt taking over the series.

I guess everyone was wrong about Naruto being the child of prophecy. Bolt is the real child of prophecy.

Well you know the series is about surpassing the previous generations. Naruto's generation was an exception, but I'm sure Bolt's will make up for that.

I'd say right around when Black Zetsu back stabs Madara to revive Kaguya. If they kept it with just Madara as the main villain then the series's ending wouldn't be bad as it is because at least then the story would have been straight and consistent..........and not a zig zag freakin mess

The more I think about it, the more the Hinatafication of the story makes some sense.

 

I mean, if the war is over and peace has been achieved, the characters who actually succeeded as ninja have no purpose.  Sakura, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Kakashi and everyone else can now sit in the back of the bus because they have no particular importance in a post-war world.

 

But Hinata, who was a worthless ninja anyway, and her spawn can fill up the new story as they experience a new society with different problems.  Bolt Boy to the rescue!  *gag*

 

Naruto, himself, is nothing more than a prop now.  A living doll for Hinata to play with and control. I mean, he'll need to be around to yell at his kids, right?

To me it was with the Ashura/Indra kitten . Prophecy can mean so much if you don't work for the things you aspire to achieve your goals that's how I always took it , But it got destroyed when everything was just handed to them (Sasuke shouldn't even be part of it but it was done for his sake and kitten brother theme )and the theme got totally retconed , the ending made it even more so as it kittented on everything that was establish in the story no explanation for "peace" and the Hokage thing  we didn't see any of it how Naruto achieved it and why  it was just there and also no sign of what happened with the Bijuu's  sign .

Soooo agree with the bold. Naruto was nothing more to Hinata than a way to feel good about herself to begin with, she wanted him not for him, but for her own self gratification.

The funny thing is I doubt that Ashura/Indra plot point will even be mentioned again. As far as I'm concerned it served no purpose in the story other than to give Naruto and Sasuke free OP powerups out of nowhere. I mean it didn't make them any closer, and made it seem like it was dynasty that they would have to fight each other which is really contradictory to the themes of the story in part 1. Such a huge mistake to bring that idea into the story...yeah that's definitely where I think things got way too out of hand.
