I wonder if any NH fan knows deep down NaruSaku should have been canon? I mean the rational ones(if there is any.)
A good number I bet.

I remember after the manga ended, one thread in NF was made that realistically NS should have happened and all of this was a sham. It was neutral guy. I don't know what happened after that though. I still remember the former NS fan was taunting NH fans to prove her right that NH was random win. It was funny.

I don't know about that. From what I saw a lot of them seemed to actually believe that Naruto only loved Sakura because of his rivalry with Sasuke, and they all seem okay with it too. The sad thing is that NH fans don't really care about Naruto or Hinata's character development, all that matters is the pairing. If some characters have to be destroyed to make NH happen then it's fine by them.

Exactly. I don't want to be part of that.

Thinking today how strange it was in the Last movie that they played up Hinata's knitting. They were really going out for girls with that ploy. It's a ninja manga, about fighting, and what is the biggest promotional prop?? A knitted scarf??
Why didn't they give out weapons, or gender neutral necklaces? No, knitting a scarf. So you have two avenues there: either girls wearing a red scarf (of any fabric), or targeting crafty girls who will then knit one for themselves and significant others. They've also created very easy cosplay costumes to recreate.
All of this, all of it, goes against the traditional fan of the Naruto manga, 15-25 males. So either the audience began slowly shifting to include more women, or SP/editors began pushing for the manga to jump tracks and appeal to a different audience.
And when I say audience, I mean those who are consistently buying copies of the manga as they come out. Not those of us who are reading it online, for free, etc. The core of that audience is 15-25 males.
I still think the anime started driving the manga at some point, not the other way around. And maybe at the end, it was bringing in more money and held more clout over the manga story, so they went for the NH romance which was so heavily played up in the anime. I don't know.
At some point the decision was made to move Naruto from a male-centric to female, action-centric to romance, shonen to shoujo (is that right?). And the knitted scarf is just another overwhelming part of that shift. Why not publicity props that supported the Naruto or Sasuke or the main characters of the series? Nope. Hinata. The whole ending revolves around her.

Hinata have none of character. What they really don't care, it's Naruto's character.

it's about a 50/50 split. Some NH fans I know have actually become NS fans bc of the ending. Some admit the ending was garbage but still like NH. Some believe the ending was great but acknowledge that NS was more logical.
And some live in kittensville where this entire mess was planned from the beginning despite the fact that Naruto couldn't make shadow clones until chapter 1, men don't pursue women romantically over rivalries, and NINJAS WOULD NEVER ASK THE QUESTION OF WHO YOU WOULD WANT TO BE WITH AS PART OF THEIR TRAINING TO BECOME A DEADLY ASSASSIN.

I'm glad that I know about the Last from here, other way around, I would be destroyed by it, as a fan of Naruto as character. Beliving in Naruto's feelings for Sakura in years, and seeing "rivaly" bs... would cause alot of damaga.

Poor Shikamaru. What was Naruto's purpose on being the Hokage? They should have made Shikamaru the Hokage or maybe Sakura.
I'd give you Shikimaru over EOS Naruto, but not Sakura. The Sakura we saw at the end of the series would have been just as terrible a Hokage as Naruto.

idk, I don't think you need to think NS should have happened to be rational. They can believe their ship was the real deal, but anyone who defends this ending is irrational. but I know that NS should've happened and that's what matters. It's thanks to The Last I think. All the things that was twisted so that NH could be canon!
I'm so grateful for that movie. If it hadn't been made I might actually have believed NH a bit more. Now I can at least laugh at it.

My best friend who is a hardcore NH fan admitted that she was surprised about NH becoming cannon. She believed the way the story was told heavily indicated NS would become cannon. So yeah, there are rational NH fans out there.I wonder if any NH fan knows deep down NaruSaku should have been canon? I mean the rational ones(if there is any.)

Apparently NS4L's favorite number is two. But other than that, nope. Nothing new on the Naruto front.
