Time to do for Tokyo Ghoul, Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins, The Breaker, One Piece, Parasyte (even though manga ended but who cares!), Berserk, and all other series in order to favor my need. This ain't wrestling, you got to cater the fans in a different way and that's creating a good story.

Here's the thing writers should always listen to their fans. However that doesn't mean he or she should do whatever fans want. Because at the end of the day you're the writer, it's your story, your work.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what exactly was it that made SP think that Hinata was more popular than Sakura? Cause from what I understand, Sakura and NS was a lot more popular than NH in Japan.

I never understood the purpose of having Karin Uzumaki. I just don't.

 

I never thought too much of her in the beginning, when she was with team Taka. She was just the anti-Sakura of Team Not-7.

 

But when it was revealed that she was an Uzumaki, it became clear that there was some purpose for her later in the manga. Why put in that little detail otherwise?

 

So, the way I see it, there are two directions to go after announcing her as an Uzumaki:

 

1) Tie into Naruto's storyline somehow. Either she would be the key to opening up some new power-up for him by revealing some long-lost clan skill that unlocks the obstacle he has. Or she represents the many Uzumakis that are out there in the world, hiding in plain sight like Nagato was, and because of her Naruto is encouraged to seek out the rest of his clan and reunite them as part of his end story.

 

2) She would tie into Sasuke's storyline by replacing Sakura as the compassionate companion that softens him and gives him something to feel sense of teammate protectiveness over. Basically he would become the adult version of the way he was with Sakura in Part 1, before he went to the dark side. And Karin would be like she was at the end of the manga, actually, helping Sasuke when all hope is lost. She would be part of the Sasuke's redemption story, and the counterpart to NaruSaku.

 

So, since Naruto never even had any dealings with her except possibly when Sakura confronted Sasuke, I can only think her purpose in the story was to be a pairing for Sasuke, and fulfilling the Naruto/Sasuke bond by having him be able to have an Uchiha/Uzumaki love relationship that repopulates his family and still allows Naruto to fulfill his dream of having Sakura.

 

But the connection she had to Naruto through the Uzumaki name was never, ever, ever picked up again. And since she was shown at the end to still be infatuated with Sasuke and be willing to go all out to save him, I have to think that the Uzumaki connection was to be for an end pairing with Sasuke. Not an end with Naruto where he reconnects with his family. Because Naruto never ever ever has any dealings with her again. The whole Uzumaki connection is dropped. 

 

I think it's just one more support beam that was kicked out to make way for the NH ending.

I don't know if we can say they're idiots; after all, they were smart enough to get their way, right?  I mean, Hinata is now the center of the Narutoverse, and anything that threatens that new reality is forced to slough off like so much dead flesh, right?

Oddly enough, I feel like she could have been more but again, maybe he had a big question mark after Yahagi left. I mean those texts on her being a strong kunoichi should mean something but apparently, Kishi has no clue. No wonder he was like "crap" when told to put Taka a fight in Search for Itachi Arc.

I'm too tired of this kitten, at this point I really don't give a kitten about ships, couples and various and random kitten; I can only say that I'm so so so so sad for Sakura, sadder than I've ever been for anything non RL-related. 
If I could I'd happily scratch those mofo editors(/team/whatever-the-hell-they-are)'s eyes out, I'd do it happily and gleefully.  
 
I hate what they did to Sakura more than anything else (and we perfectly know there's an inordinate amount of things to hate in that quagmire of kitten that Naruto has become), I hate what they did to her and what it reflects in real life. It's disgusting and terrible, horrendous and sad, vomit and rage inducing, and I've never been so disgusted by a manga.
 
I hate. I hate Naruto, I hate Kishimoto, I hate what happened, I hate Hinata-the-false-heroine-who-should-have-died-preferably-impaled-by-Pein, I hate the stupidity that this all reflects, I hate disgusting treatment they reserved to Sakura, I hate the total lack of respect of the readers, I hate the total dismissal of continuity and plot. I hate it all.
