Do you guys think Kishi even realized what kind of damage he has done to the reputation of the series? When was the last time a huge manga had ended and had divided the fanbase this drastically?

You could say the ichigo 100% ending. But that manga is not big compare to naruto.

It's gonna be like that in any review about The Last now. The entire Naruto fandom is divided, and will be so from here on out. It's either you're apart of the fandom or apart of the anti-fandom. All of us? We're the shipping part of the anti-fandom.

You know, I gotta say, when it comes to final villain, Naruto doesn't know what to do because realistically, Obito was the right choice. Madara don't have any business with it unless he was Tobi. So, it's really a mess that has no impact.

I really love comments like those. People are really under the impression that if someone made something doesn't matter if it's good or not should be immediately praised. And no one should ever say anything bad about it. WRONG.

Madara, Obito- I don't care who the final villain would have been. The only thing I know is that Kaguya sucked and should never have been introduced.

Everyone's different. Heck, even some neutrals like this movie, and we'll never understand why! I'm gonna try and see what my brother, a neutral fan, says to this movie. He also believed that NaruSaku will happen, simply b/c of the way the manga was told and b/c it was the most logical end pairing to him.

Kaguya should have stayed in the mythology. I honestly still don't understand why she was treated as a villian in the first place. Wasn't her wish to be the one person who saves humanity/from themselves? If anything she had a neutral standpoint. There was no need for her to come back, and then have the black zetsu of all things make an excuse for it.  

 

Also Madara should have never came back. It would have been fine if it ended with just Obito being a bad guy, no redemption, boom evil is over.  

 

And didn't Kishimoto say in an interview that he already had his ending planned out? Well he probably planned for Naruto v. Sasuke, but I honestly don't count that as the end of the series. It's not memorable. Kaguya ended this series. And I'm pretty sure he had no Goddess in mind back when he did that interview.

He had the Naruto vs Sasuke Neon Evangelion-power-up-like fight planned out, but, heck!, he didn't even know back then how to finish of Madara about a year ago . Kaguya was never supposed to "defeat" Madara. It makes me question when the production of the movie actually started. Everything falls apart if it weren't for the intro of that mummy-like lady.

Exactly. I feel like she had to be introduced in order for The Last to make sense (it still doesn't tho) but at the same time both are unnecessary and both downgrade the quality of this story.

Kishi's logic is actually really amazing

Dragged out a mostly boring war for 5 years, only does five chapters for the final battle that people have been hyping for years

That's why I always said that naru vs sasu should happen in two volume.
5 chapter is not enough, it practically only half a volume for the hype battle in this manga.
