Funny how Sakura can fight and defeat Sasori, save Naruto's life, master medical ninjutsu and a difficult technique requiring expert chakra control for an extended period of time, punch a darned goddess, and people still say she's useless.

But Hinata trying (and failing) to save Naruto from Pain, holding Naruto's hand, and tripping over a rock is noble and worthy of hero worship.

 

 

I wish part two Hinata's minuscule character development wasn't entirely centered around Naruto.  Girl needs to stand on her own two feet.

In all seriousness, I don't really care and won't presume their reasoning. But really, part two Hinata didn't do...much of anything. Part one Hinata all the way!

To me this isn't the real Sakura. I still love the Sakura who overcame weakness. Kishi never really did her justice.

It doesn't really concern our fandom--not directly. As much as some of us are finding it amusing, some seem to be acting like this means that NS will be retconned. I don't think that's going to happen.

SasuHina is surprisingly popular in the fandom.  I don't really know why since they've never interacted...

For real, could you think of Minato behaving like that? Telling his son to endure?

To be fair, while we got quite a few glimpses of daddy Minato (sjdfhkjdfkjdh *fangirls at the thought*), we didn't see what he would have been like balancing his position with his fatherhood. (I remember a few fanfics tackling this, some better than others.)

 

But it's clear he was a very loving dad, so I tend to agree. And I always imagined Naruto would be the same way, the way his parents were so important to him. I know he'd want his kids to know their parents loved them, as well.

 

While the picture appears expertly edited, I am not okay with the idea of keeping the same ending and just switching the pairings. If that was acceptable I would have headcanoned it a long time ago. 

 

However, if we're talking in terms of this one particular panel, this one moment, I find this likable. But I'm not sure whose grave they would be visiting.

Was going to draw some NS today, will still try. I'll get out some songs that remind me of NS for inspiration. First I need to finish homework, though.

Me, I'm just too trusting, I guess. I'm the kind of person who always, always gives the benefit of the doubt and is the last to assume the worst. So I could not have seen this ending coming no matter how obvious it may or may not have been. It wasn't obvious to me, and the ending still doesn't make sense.

I still like Sakura, just not the Sakura in the ending and The Last.

To me, her getting over Sasuke was some part of the development I hoped to see. Because her crush on Sasuke was always portrayed as childish, and that she never let go of that seems to have been the biggest reason she had so many haters. That being the case, clearly I'm not the only one that felt that that crush came across as unrealistic and rather dumb. She didn't need to end up with Naruto, I just felt that her ending up with Sasuke was the opposite of character growth.
Of course there is more to what I hoped to see from Sakura than that (surpassing Tsunade, becoming the to medicnin, getting a legendary title along with Sasuke and Naruto), but that was probably a large part of it.

Tbh I really, really have enjoyed talking to you guys over the past few months. Even if I don't say much sometimes. I get attached to internet people, maybe because it's easier to for me to open up online.

We are. My brother's not big on shipping, but he always thought NS was pretty much guaranteed to happen just because of how the story was progressing. I got him to ship them a bit more by showing him AMVs, lol.
