Just saying that SS fanbase doesn't give a damn about BoruSara.
Most of the Sarada fans including the SS ones hates Boruto's character.
 
Boruto x Sarada fanbases hate each other. 
Most of the Sarada fans are Sasuke or Sakura fans and they hate Naruto, Hinata and their spawn.
This pairing never will become "big".
 
Also there's no need for a epilogue with new Kids in Boruto. Boruto is too much a failure for a continuation.At this point the producers/Kishimoto must be thinking in reboot/Cancel Boruto.


 
The clan/backstory of the deuteragonist and three main villains like Itachi, Madara and Obito.
Uchiha was the main Clan in Naruto.  Sakura was the main female.
They aren't supposed to remain so popular in Boruto. So this is a problem for Ikemoto and his manga.
Ikemoto's characters are a failure.
 
 
SS have  good development/scenes in Part 1 thanks to Yahagi supervision (Not kishimoto).
Kishimoto made they tried to kill each other to reinforce how Sasuke changed and  how Sakura feelings still are strong.
Sasuke was redeemed, apologized to Sakura and she jumped in his arms again.  Now Sasuke/Sarada/Sakura are the few things worth of attention/merchandising in Boruto Era with a big active fanbase with potential  to bring some old readers back.
 

Did Kishimoto could have done a better Work or make NS instead? Of course. But SS aren't the first and neither will be the last couple who tried to kill each other in fiction/manga.  I pick SS over the boring/lackluster NH any day. I hate Hinata and how she was overrated for nothing.   Even Sakura x Lee is better than NH. 
Also It's good to see Sakura get more recognition/attention and destroying Hinata/NH in these years. if you want to count the Haters who are obcessed with Sakura. (Who are non existent in Japan) Sakura is the most popular character in the franchise.
 
If Kishimoto had few minutes to look at the internet trends/social medias back in the day instead of listen Pierrot. He would know that.

It's a cheap rip of of narusaku and narusasu so I dount they or nh would generally care for it. Just let those two fanbases rip on each other its funny they destory themselves.

If they do cancel and reboot naruto/boruto I don't want to see etheir nh or ss canon, those ships have literally destoryed this franchise.

Just because kishimoto over focused on the uhchia and sakura is the main female character, doesn't justify her becoming apart of the clan. Especially given how most of them ended up a villains.

Just because sasusaku had a few "good moments" in part 1 does not justify them getting together, especially with how bad they were written in part 2. Heck I'd even argue the moment sasuke left, they shouldn't get together because he rejected her.

Heck I have no desire to support any merchandise or series with the sasusaku family and I doubt anyone who isn't a shipper does as well, especially here.

I don't care how many other ships tried to kill eachother that became canon, it still does not justify sasusaku becoming canon. I'd argue that more of a problem with media in general prompting toxic romance.

Frankly I see ss as bad as nh in destroying this series and if they reboot this series etheir have narusaku canon or open ended so we don't get an ending like we got with naruto's again.

Pierrot and the editors showed him the scoical media and the Internet, its why we got the ending we did because he was shown youtubers who loved hinata and hated sakura in the west. Frankly he should of done narusaku like he intended regardless of which ship was popular, because it made the most sense of what he wrote.

I think every sane NH fan hate The Last. The movie didn't made any favour to NH aside the ridiculous kiss.
 
Hinata suicided herself  against Pein. 
Kishimoto killed Neji just for Naruto hold hinata hands for some seconds.
 
But Naruto still ignores Hinata two years after the war.
He is a retarded who thinks Hinata loves him like a food and needs a genjutsu and Sakura's help to finally loves Hinata back.
 
The Last  ignored the little development NH had in manga.

I mean because not only her, but Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru, Chouji, Ino, Shino and Kiba was shown on the first and 3rd episodes to give more clarity of who were Naruto's classmates in the Ninja Academy before he became a Genin.  It made sense canon-wise because none (except a "cameo" of Sasuke) were shown on the debut manga chapter, they were just random kids (especially the clone final exam scene, both Shikamaru and Ino were the replacements of 2 random boys complaining at Naruto for Iruka's pop exam). We knew Sasuke and Sakura's official debuts were in chapter 3. The others came in later during the beginning of the Chunin Exams.

I'd would probably argue that the scenes they added put her in a more favorable light than sakura, as the first episode we learn about her crush on naruto before we learn about his on sakura in episode 3

Most of SS shares the same oppinion as you.
SS doesn't want Sarada to turn into in a pairing fodder and have the same destiny as  Sakura/Hinata. 
They really want Sarada to become the  strong and indepedent  new Hokage.
 
 
Most of the Salad fans are also old Sasuke/Uchiha fans. They completely despise Naruto and his spawn.
At this point they completely gave up and dropped Bort manga.
 
They are specting a Sasuke 2.0 or a Itachi/Madara Jr. Not a pairing bait character.
They hate the fact Kishimoto choosed a girl to be Sasuke's daughter. Probably to not outshine Bort/Kawaki.
But Salad still is the most popular character in Boruto thanks to her Uchiha blood and status as SS daughter

I don't give a dang who sadara ends up with as I think she is an overrated character and her existence does not justify sasusaku happening. Frankly I don't care if they do drop it because they should of executed this given how sakura and sasusaku was written in naruto.

If you remove Sakura's feelings and Sasuke from the Team 7 love triangle.
NS was the typical shounen  pairing.
NH completely lacks any appeal aside Hinata's boobs. 
SS have the "shoujo" and "tragic" appeal that lacks in NH and NS.
Kishimoto made NH to turn Hinata more popular but ironically turning Sakura in the "Mrs uchiha" made her more popular than ever, both for fans and Haters. 
 
Uchiha/Sakura were the focus in Naruto. But not in Boruto's story.
Now these idiots (Ikemoto,Kishimoto,Pierrot) are stucking with the Uchiha family being more popular/interesting than the Boruto's family/Hinata AGAIN.

I don't care if sasusaku is considered a shoujo tragic appeal, it should not have happened, because how unhealthy it was. Narusaku might be a typical idiot and tsundere relationship, but I'd pick that over ss any day.

I'd hardly call sakura/uhchia the focus in naruto , the bond between naruto and sasuke was the focus. With sakura feelings for naruto and sasuke changing throughout the series, naruto being more positive and sasuke more negative. Haters still don't like sakura being Mrs uhchia, they still see it as a bad pairing.

Frankly I find it worrying that shoujo mangaka would praise how kishimoto wrote the sasusaku relationship, because it is not a positive portrayal of romance and a bad message to girls.

Say I'm arguing with some who is a non shipper about how well planned the series. During which the topic of shipping he said that road to ninja was supposed to build of on what would be the canon romance, but changed to a mainto and kushina movie due to their popularity.

With the last being a scrapes ideas for part 3 or the war with toneri and the hyuga. Does anyone know how true this is? Because the road to ninja stuff sounds ridiculous to me.

I wouldn't blame solely boruto for naruto's decline, the ending itself was controversial given how Tokyo ghoul final volume outsold naruto's in Japan. Plus the kaguys twist.

Given what I have read of retsuden manga I hardly find the spin of material doing sakura any favors, which even see some ss fans complain on twitter. Speaking of which while many ns fans dropped the franchise after 2014, there is a sort of resurgence with them on twitter and tumblr particularly with fanon projects.

I would argue ino did alot in support when it came to fights die to being in team 10, which gave her more fights to be in that sakura early on with the war.

NH is so boring/unpopular/non existent in manga.  Only Pierrot Fillers remembers them.
The best Ikemoto can do is put Hinata slaping Kawaki
Most likely NH will be ignored forever by side materiais, publicity and by the JP fandom.  . This  hurts Naruto's character as the supposed old protagonist.
 
At this poins it's impossible for NH suparss SS. SS  are composed by two main characters. NH are just Naruto and a figurant big chested. NS could potentially suparss SS in the long run if they were canon.

But now SS will remain as the main couple.
 
They know they can milk the  SS/Sakura fans for all their money because they're still a big portion of the Naruto  fandom compared to the self inserts NH/Hinata ghosts.

They might be bigger than nh, but ss alone won't bring back the naruto fandom to its glory days

In terms of a reboot/remake/alternative ending at the moment unlikely, but I wouldn't say impossible. After all digimon recently had a reboot series and I believe ikemoto wanted to originally do a reboot but did boruto in the end, as I beleive that's what etheir Jump, Pierrot or both wanted.

Best bet would be to test it as a multiverse or elseworld/what if story so you see how well it does and not upset those thank like the boruto continuity and don't want it fully erased. Plus I do feel most genreal audiences are more open to multiverse stories after marvel and dc doing them for films.

Granted in the sense they have already done it once in a filler what if about Naruto's parents being alive, but this time don't make it a dream. Heck they could do more with the road to ninjaverse if they wanted.

Something like evil Pierrot/Editors  deceived Kishimoto into thinking Hinata was the queen of the universe and he was forced to make NH official.   Hinata was their favorite. But only in fillers and they have no power in manga.NH Possibility was open since chapter 437. This chapter come out in 2009. She have a descent ammount of popularity in West. SS already had a consolidated fanbase and popularity since Part 1. It's was simply more easy to him to take SS/NH  route. Kishi has no interest in romance so he let Pierrot wrote whatever they wants.
 
The Pool was destroyed in 469. Naruto wasn't chasing Sasuke for Sakura and at this point the PoaL become irrelevant to him and Sakura. Since this Chapter the Poal never was mentioned again like something important. So i believe everything related to the promess was addressed in this chapter.
 
 
 
 
I agree in some points Sasuke and Sakura trying to kill each other was too much. But this negative moment wasn't enough to fade their Part 1 Popularity and original appeal to their fans. In part 1 i remember Sasuke was willing to die and give up his revange just to saver her against Gaara. If you think this moment has no importance for a Character like Sasuke or to SS Pairing.  SS/NH thinks the same about NaruSaku Moments and PoaL.

About the Abusive Argument of many Sakura/SS haters likes to use to diminish the SasuSaku and Sakura.
The main theme of Naruto was redemption. Just like how Naruto friendship is forever to Sasuke so was Sakura's loves to him...
Much of the SS problematic side is thanks to the Sasuke's traumas and journey as a final antagonist to fight Naruto in the end.
Just like ony other antagonist have problems with their relationships in this manga.
A Crazy psychopath like Gaara who threatened his own brothers. could never become a Kage of the same village he killed thousands.
Itachi abused and torture Kid Sasuke and is considered the "best" brother in manga.
Neji tried to kill and tortured Hinata and he died to protect her.
NejiHina was more famous than NH at the time in Japan. The same happened with worst people like Obito and Nagato.

Thats why i think hard to believe Kishimoto is stupid enough to call SS abusive/Toxic AFTER made them official. Since this will not only kitten on his two Main Characters but in his entire manga as well...

Kakashi/Iruka is a yaoi crack shipping who become  popular out of nowhere because some japoneses like the concept of the Two Teachers having a gay relationship.  But you could see Kishimoto actually implemeting this on his manga without sounding ridiculous?
This isn't the same as SasuSaku/NaruHina/NaruSaku who are hetero pairings with declarations and scenes in manga.

 
I think you underestimate how much influence editors can have on a manga series, the android saga became what it was in dragon ball due to the editor telling Toryiama to keep changing the antagonist. Heck Yahagi for kishimoto was regarded as the guy who helped make the series popular with him and when he left the quality massively declined, so it isn't hard to imagine that they influenced kishimotoe plus the interviews we have seen this being the case when it came to the ships.
 
While yes Studio Pierrot mostly could only influnce the anime, but anime studios can influence mangaka from time to time like one pice the anime staff convinced oda to include some characters in CPO and Sword when he wasn't going to. Also they still affected people interpretations of naruto especially hinata when they adapted 437 given how in the manga she was portrayed more being selfish and couldn't land a hit on pain, which by the way despite such a "BIG" scene for NH leads to nothing and naruto never addresses with the last making it worse.

You "believe" that everything about the promise of a lifetime was addressed in 469, it was brought up in 693 despite how awful that chapter was and should have been the death nail for ss though regardless it shows that naruto keeping his promises to sakura is important to him and their argument has not changed that.
 
Honestly it sounds like you have spent too much time listening to some of the SS fandom's arguments for the ship. It doesn't matter what popularity the ss ship had in part 1, part 2 did nothing to build of any positive they might of had and it only made the ship worse with their long absence of seeing each other and when they did it was positive. Heck it made everyone who wasn't a SS fan hate the couple and would have preferred her being either with naruto, someone else or no one at all. While yes there were points in time that sasuke seemed willing to give up his revenge for helping either sakura or naruto , in the end he chose revenge over them in part 1 and was the entire point of his character in the sasuke retrieval arc.
 
While yes naruto has done many redemption to characters in the series (to the point people got sick of it and were very critical of some of them like for Itachi, Pain and Obito), none of those had naruto or any other character pressuring a romantic relationship with the people they hurt or tried to kill. The only exception you could make is Nejihina, but there aren't any hints at these two being portrayed as romantic unless you count the rock lee parody manga's comedic moments. Plus there were signs of sakura moving on from sasuke to naruto before the ending happened.

Like I said before he called sakura's love an addiction, now you could argue that this is not him calling them toxic but it's not him being positive about the couple either. Plus he hasn't written them in a good manner in gaiden given the drama that mini series caused about who sadara's mother was for a while. The so called popularity of the canon ship has done nothing for the franchise except set down a decline  which yes that is partly due to ikemoto's writing being so bad, but that could only happen with how badly they wrote the canon ships in the first place that it was never going to work out in the first despite how popular they were with certain parts of the fanbase.
 

 
 
So you need to explain  this to Kishimoto/Jump/Pierrot/Producers since they betrayed your sacred  Japanese  law of writing Shonen since the beggining until the end...
 
He simply did so many mistakes filling SS/NH fans and the love Triangle + Hinata.This isn't the sacred "law" of the main pairing. Kishi could simply make something really simple/cliche like the Yusuke/Keiko thing who perfectly works in a shonen manga  and fits much better in your "law.
 


 

It's pretty common for shonen to have more than one female character have a crush on the main character, black clover is an example of this though everyone knows that if the main female is among them she is the most likely the one to get with him. It's just that shippers didn't want to admit that was the case with naruto and dismissed any proof of Narusaku happening.

Wasn't Sasuke, Sakura, Love Triangle, and many things Yahagi Idea?
Many nH stans likes to say Hinata was Kishimoto original idea  using some old panel as evidence.

Well anyone will agree Naruto's story was much better overhall when  Yahagi was supervisioning.  Ignoring pairings the story become a train wreck after Itachi's death and Pein Arc with overpower eyes, ridiculous battles, Hashirama's cell, prophecies/Bijuus who completly kittens on hard work theme and even alliens

But i don't give too much credit to him related to NaruSaku. Part 1 was heavily SS focused and Yahagi helped Kishi to make chapter 181.  These SS Moments and SS final declaration helped too much to consolidate SasuSaku as a famous/strong pairing and outshine NaruSaku. This Sakura's declaration even get the top 1 ranking in a japonese poll as the most emotional scene supering PoaL, Hiruzen's death and others sad moments in part 1

NaruSaku only gained popularity as possible couple for casual readers after Yamato's comment and some fillers in anime but this didn't helpd too much, since soon later Kishimoto made Hinata's declaration.

 

 

 

Ironically most of the SS fans are composed of hardcore Sakura and female fans. They like Sasuke too since for them he is much better/interesting than Naruto. But the Sakura side is much stronger.  SS and nH are fighting now just to prove which canon pairing is the better one and because Hinata stans like to provoke Sakura fans.
But SS side never thought Sakura's heroine status was threatened by Hinata. Damn it, most of the SS fans used Hinata  at the pairings wars days just to get Naruto away from Sasuke and Sakura just to show how little they care about Naruto's character.

So the Point was made. Sakura in the ovehall Heroine. Just because Hinata gained more focus in a FanFic movie or got the Naruto's houseWife paper she didn't steal sakura's role.

 

Yahagi recommenced Kishimoto create sasuke to help the stroy going forward and sakura to cause more of a rivalry between naruto and sasuke. If you are referring to that hinata drawing in a dress, that was just kishimoto drawing her to show members of his staff what Hinata was like. Yes Naruto went down hill after yahagi with the jinjurki arc between the kage summit and war arc being the only good arc, because kishimoto got help from his wife on how to write it.

I wouldn't call part 1 heavily ss focused, while yes they interacted alot part 1 Narusaku intreacted just as much if not more on some occasions. You had alot of moments of sakura being impressed with naruto in the land of waves and chunnin exams arc, even blushing in some of those moments and cheering him on in his fights in the chunin exams and vice versa when sakura fought against ino. Plus their was the gaara fight where Naruto risked his life to safe her and her learning about it later. So it wasn't just the promise of a lifetime in Part 1 and a few moments in early part 2. Plus just because SS and a few nice moments in part 1 does not justify their relationship especially with what happens between them in part 2. 

I don't care if most sasusaku fans are female or male, they should have more self respect about how their ship became canon. If Narusaku became canon like how ss did I would not be happy about it, heck I stopped shipping SS myself when I realised how toxic the ship was to the character (plus how Hinata/NH fans behaved). 

 

Chi chi isn't anything like Hianat, she more of a tsundere type like sakura. Technically Hinata did, it was just a flop and they can't go back to narusaku so they reduced both sakura and hinata from the spotlight. Frankly SS and NH and can argue as much as they like over which is better with Boruto or Retsuden, they both suck and add in elements like aliens and dinosaurs that don'r really fit into naruto and get mocked at by people who aren't die hard fans of their ships.

Again I'm Happy that Sakura was last at no. 3

They are hardly even having sakura interact with Naruto in the boruto that its even hard to call them friends, the only time I saw it it was in the time travel arc where they had her beat him because he was doing the sexy jutsu only to have hinata come and defend him.

 

While there may be a few NaruSaku fans that want them to get together just because naruto wanted it, from what I have seen most narusaku fans are sakura fans who want them to get together because naruto is better for her and doesn't treat her like crap. Plus their dynamic is much better.  Naruto literally stated that he likes sakura in chapter 3 and and confirms to sai that he likes. Fans who hated sakura and narusaku just ignored it or diminished it like the kushina parallels, when it didn't for their agenda or narrative.

 

Sasusaku sakura fans just don't want to admit that the biggest reason Sakura got hated was because of her relationship to sasuke and the best thing for her is for it to not happen and move on from him, as it was never portrayed in in their self insert version of a good girl trying to rescue a bad boy. Plus they don't want to admit that having NH and SS canon has reduced Sakura's role over the years, despite warnings from other Sakura fans who did not want them to get together.

Frankly I see the SS confession in 181 as a rejection on sasuke's part.
