I dont know why but I went full fanboy mode and I am not even a fan. He was great. He was talking while sketching and asked why I chose Lucy. Thats when I went all intellect like a nerd. I explained the character, development, heroism and other things like I cant stop.

The sad part is when he was done I left with a thank you, only to find out he wasnt done. How embarrassing. He told me that I know his writing for her character all too well. Hand shakes and off I go.

Honestly, I have more respect towards the guy and how much fun he really shows. I recorded him sketching and you can hear me talking. Well Ill see him tomorrow at NYCC. Time to head home!

About Shizune's line, it remind me of 614. Not essentially due to a line, rather how it segues to the next chapter. Naruto looks pissed and ready for payback. Then, 615 regressed that and have Naruto in panic state. What happened to badass Naruto?

Novel 4 is announced and set to release on November. It will cover the "school trip" arc that will start this week in anime.

 

Well, I'm convinced that they will adapt every anime exclusive parts into novel.

Keep in mind, it's highly likely the developer won't follow anime game logic like "Yamcha can't win no matter how good you are." It will be like fighting games: skills will pay the bills.

Neiji's death is absolutely hilarious, when it happened I didn't feel anything, really the only thing that came to my mind was:"oh well, I guess Nh won then"

But seriously he died of a projectile weapon isn't he suppoused to be a genius? and isn't blocking projectiles like one thing he is the best at? Didn't he defeat, as a mere gennin no less, the sound 5 guy who was specialized at ranged combat? (Byakugan, anyone? 64 palm rotation? No? Ok.) 

Neiji's mind: "Damn, Hinata-sama is trying to protect Naruto with her own body, I'm pretty sure I've got at least two or three abilities and enough power to block the attack or reduce the damage that it could made... nah, better just go and saccrifice myself I'm way too tired of being in this kitten war anyways"

It's like Piccolo, only it had two people to take the hit and it wasn't "surprising" in terms of character development. It was tossed there to say, "I need to get rid of a body."

 

Funny thing is the anime was secretly pushing Neji and Hinata (especially Rock Lee SD). If we go by that interpretation, that means this series actually pulled the old school "love triangle" solution: kill one off. Yeah, it's not intentional, but goodness, it's eerily similar. This is cliche galore.

Shin could have been decent have the pacing or more like being in a short story didn't effect him. He has to job out pathetically, he has to reference Akatsuki for fan service sake, same with Itachi which has no ground, died quick as possible by rushed twist (like why start now, clone Shin), and everything just felt convenient and halfassed.
