Watching a video on Kreia from Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II. Here's a quote from her that summarizes why NaruHina happening because of Kishi's pity feels so wrong.

But back to NaruHina. With Hinata being given her husbando, it ultimately denied her the character growth she so desperately needed. She remained the same little girl she always was, chasing after Naruto even when she swore she wouldn't anymore. Her lack of focus ultimately hurt her, as it removed the struggle from her pursuit. Naruto just ended up with her at the end of the manga despite everything that pointed to him shacking up with Sakura. Then The Last came along, which served to invalidate Naruto's feelings for Sakura to remove her as a threat, all while trying to establish Hinata had already won years before without knowing.

 

And if we go off my previous analysis that Hinata believes she has to defend Naruto from everything, their relationship only seeks to weaken him. It's not Hinata who is getting Boruto to understand his father's (supposed) greatness, it's the experiences Boruto has outside of their family that will ultimately mature the little poop and restore his relationship with his father. Again, Hinata's problem is being solved by someone else saving her the trouble and means to grow, likewise it's solving the problem for Naruto to continue validating the behavior that created the problem in the first place.

It denied both Sakura and Hinata and Ino character growth.

I bring up Ino because let's be real. She only got with Sai because he was Sasuke's replacement.

 

 

 

Oh what will REALLY upset you two is that the original writer for Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02, Hiroyuki Kaikudo said that Matt X Sora were planned form the beginning because he thought Tai X Sora was too CLICHÉ. What's worse, he never told anyone on the anime staff about that intention so there was more Tai X Sora moments in the english dub and in the movie too. Heck Even the Japanese fan base was pretty VOCAL about Why Matt X Sora happened  in the first place because they see more chemistry with Tai and Sora

Just more and more like Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke then. If you plan a pairing from the beginning, BUILD THEM UP PROPERLY.

Even with the added moments in the english version, Taichi and Sora still had more moments and chemistry than Yamato and Sora ever did..

Also, people who are close isn't anywhere near as cliche as the girl going for the "loner bad boy" character. Plus I hate the word "cliche" because things that are considered as such can be done well enough so they don't seem cliche.

Maybe that one shoot when they about to eat in expensive restaurant but naruto didn't have enough money then hinata use her byakugan and peep at naruto's pocket and see it then she ask naruto to go to ramen shop instead ....

It's funny how he looks happy when hes with Sakura , he smile. But when hes with hinata he looks sad and not even smiling

Either they were shippers who got their way or just don't care enough. I don't see how anyone could think the ending/pairings are good when there's so much evidence stacked against it. They should fix it. Have both Sasuke and Hinata die in Boruto and make Sakura and Naruto get together. While Naruto's marriage with Hinata is somewhat better, neither marriage seems great. I go between feeling sad for Sakura to hating her for marrying someone who tried to kill her on multiple occasions. Even her reactions to Sasuke mirror her shallow crush looks in the beginnning instead of actual love for her husband. It's like she has stockholm syndrome.

Naruto and Sakura compared to Minato and Kushina? Oh parallels don't mean anything.

Naruto and Sakura are compared to Obito and Rin? Oh parallels don't mean anything.
Naruto and HInata? "Oh they are just like Minato and Kushina. It makes sense. Hinata has long hair, Kushina had long hair....they are exactly alike."

 

See that's another thing that bothered me. He has all these groups of 3 that were exactly like Naruto/Sakura/Sasuke and the "Naruto" ALL lose. 

It was implied that Jiraya liked Tsunade, but she chose Dan. Though, it seems like I remember them having a moment before he goes off to fight Pain where it implied that Tsunade had feelings for him as well.

The best comparison was Obito/Rin/Kakashi. Kakashi (Sasuke) showed no interest in Rin (Sakura). Rin was googly eyed over the "cool" Kakashi, and Obito (Naruto) was the late starter. At least in the end, Rin was the one to greet Obito when he died. 

Makes you wonder. If Sakura dies first, would she be the one to greet Naruto when he died? Probably. XD

So another good reason for Naruto and Sakura to end up together from just a writing standpoint would have shown it breaking a cycle that kept occurring.
