#966796 Boruto: The NeverEnding Prologue Chapter 25

Posted by Niky on 11 July 2018 - 05:30 PM in Latest Releases

Nail. The two tone hair guy that killed Naruto.

Please, don't give me hope...

Oh, latest great quotes from reddit:

"Knowing the Uzumaki family with Hinata, Hima and Naruto they are gonna welcome Kawaki home with open arms lol. For some reason I wouldn’t mind see Kawaki turning into Kawaki Uzamaki and being adopted by them".

"Considering the personalities of Naruto, Boruto, Hinata and Himawari, I'm surprised the Uzumaki house isn't, like, filled with rescued stray cats and dogs or something".

So, the pro ending see the HINATA family like open, cozy and welcoming eh?

You only see what you want. -_-

#966794 ACT-AGE

I saw the 24th chapter (korean scans)... the (bear) boy is aesthetically very appealing and, somehow, 'different' from the other young characters and actors.

I am waiting the translation and the 25th chapter to define his personality and to consider him 'interesting' (so far, between the male characters, the only one who stand out is the director).

Seems like it. Well if it survives, and stays long enough to get an anime a dedicated group will eventually work on it every week. My guess most group didn't want to bother because they didn't think it would even last this long.

My guess too!

Just went around checking. Them manga is at least up to chapter 23. How ever the people translating it are only at 9 10.

Late translation and, now, problems with the scanalators' group (check on reddit if you want)...

#966702 Sakura was written to be Disliked

In terms of scenes with the two characters on panel together and there is a dialogue, there's like half that many... and in only half of that half do both of them actually talk. They had only one real conversation.

Sorry, I don't remember... WHEN???

I found the raws! :th_yeah:

This manga is more and more interesting...

I like the actress rival but I am waiting for the new character introduced in chapter 23 because... You see... The man was eating a... bear (?!?!?!?!?)?!?!? :wot:

If they can't draw expression then this manga about the incredible acting ability of the main girl is going to be a problem when they can't show it. That's why the image is so important. It shows yes they can show it.

I just finished reading the latest chapter. This manga also has the problem not have much of a cast yet. It has the girl, the director, the girls two little siblings, the directors assistant, the lady that runs the acting agency, her son, the what looks to be the girl main rival that she hasn't even met yet, and the three people that were introduce last chapter or so. None them have really have time to shine other then the director, the girl is still a bit too bland.

From what I can tell (granted from one poll) it middle of the road at shounen jump at the moment it is at least more popular then that golf manga that just got cancelled.

What chapter is the last one?

The nine?

I am reading it.

It's an interesting manga with good drawing style and I like very much the author's way of drawing expressions.

However, and I agree with you, Bail, it seems to me more a seinen or a josei... I was surprised to see this published in Shonen Jump.

It doesn't strike to me like the manga type from the magazine.

I sincerely hope that this manga will keep on.

#966538 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

I learn about this recently; O’Sullivan’s Law.

From the urban dictionary: "O’Sullivan’s Law states that any organization or enterprise that is not expressly right wing will become left wing over time. The law is named after British journalist John O’Sullivan.

Television shows are the best examples of this. 24, House. Charitable foundations are worse but harder to see.

One of the reasons for this is leftist intolerance versus right-wing tolerance. Right wingers are willing to hire openly left-wing employees in the interest of fairness. Left-wingers, utterly intolerant, will not allow a non-Liberal near them, and will harass them at every opportunity. The result over time is that conservative enterprises are infiltrated by leftists but leftist enterprises remain the same or get worse.

Also, leftism is in and of itself a form of decay. It’s what happens not just to television shows but to nations, churches and universities as the energy given off by the big bang of their inception slowly ebbs away. Rather than expend vitality in originality and creation they become obsessed with introspection, popularity and lethargy. Leftism is entropy of the spirit and intellect.

Another reason is that the parasitic nature of Liberals/Leftists attracts them to existing money.

An enterprise can stave off O'Sullivan's Law if their creators keep it in mind and remain vigilant and truthful.
O'Sullivan's Law hit 24 when they finally had a Muslim villain then started running disclaimers that Muslims aren't all terrorists.

The Annenberg Foundation was started by a Republican but it didn't take long before O'Sullivan's Law had them handing a domestic terrorist money for educating kids.

The ACLU, the Ford Foundation and the Episcopal Church all fell to O’Sullivan’s Law"

Now I know some of you will be offend by being lumped together with conservatives but this does fit. Any site that is not inherently NarutoXSakura supporting will become nH overtime. This was because NS fans were generally fine with the story and didn't feel the need to change it. While the radical nH fans would not accept any ending except the one where nH happened. So, they became active in trying to gain control of the fanbase as well as putting themselves into places of power and influence, while silencing all that opposed them. While those that were silence either keep quite, express their opinions on site like this, or leave the fanbase all together. Slowly turning they became the face of the American fanbase, and therefor the international fanbase.

This is what the Analyzer wanted to do on this site. She first created an account in order to start moderating our opinion into a less pro NS supporting stance with her post, while also cosying up to one of the admins in order to get an admin position herself through her cozening; I think you can all guess the one she was going after. After that she would have used her cozen position to both ban those that refuse to bend, and find away to have her friends to also become admins in order to consolidate even more power to their group. Eventually they would have turned a site that exist for fans that supported NS into just another nH/SS site.

Depending how you look at it I would have been her initial or primary target. I was doing unflattering summaries of both the manga, and the anime at the time. Also, I probably earned her ire when I refused to stop using fat filler as a nickname for...chowchow? After that she would have gotten someone in her group to replace me, and start doing glowing review of both. If anyone complained they'd threaten to ban them.

Exactly what happened in Italian Narusaku forum.

Now it no longer exists... having become a NaruHina and Sasusaku's nest...

Very interesting law... I will keep it in mind.

In the Last, it felt like she was making up excuses to push Naruto away.

Yeah, but all the Hinata/Naruto 'love' scenes, his petty grudge for the Hinatata's 'betrayal' and his devil may care attitude for Sakura's wellness when she cured him... what do you call them?

Do you see some interest and care from him to Sakura? :headscratch:

How does Sakura magically know about that retcon before it even happened, though?

Sorry, but this makes sense... like the entire Naruto's manga makes sense. :zaru:

#965409 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

It says something horrible about Sakura, if doing that had such little impact on her to the point that she didn't even mention Naruto in her emotional plea. So Sakura is so governed by her emotions to the point that she can't stop herself from throwing herself at someone who doesn't care for her and tries to kill her, but she's also emotionally dead.

I don't think...

If the Last is canon (which it is) Naruto faked his love for her for rivalry with Sasuke, hence stating that her harsh words in the third chapter were true... She was right all along!!.

So, at the end, Sakura, by understanding that, has been focused on her feelings for Sasuke. That was only a way to give a sense to her existence. Very sad, indeed.

A recent article from last year, Rowling admitted that her real ending was going to be Harry/Hermione and she got lazy.

So, she has changed version... It just makes you realize how trustworthy she is.

#965403 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Bleach - I'm gonna disagree. Rukia became a useless side character after the Soul Society arc. While Orihime was prominent enough so she wasn't another Hinata, Ichigo had WAY better chemistry with Rukia while Rukia had NONE with Renji.

Harry Potter - Both Hermione/Ron and Harry/Ginny came out of nowhere because Rowling got lazy. She even admit it she originally planned Harry/Hermione which makes sense because throughout the story, it build the 2 up. They were supposed to realize their feelings for each other when they are alone after Ron abandons them in the 7th book.

Macross Frontier - Eh, I always thought both girls were the female lead. One just as prominent as the other.

Masamune-kun no revenge - That ending pissed me off so much because it came out of nowhere. Yeah, he had become close to the maid girl because she was helping him, but he was falling for Aki the entire time while trying to get "revenge" on her.

Sorry, on these I disagree:

  • Bleach - Rukia, I admit, was more interesting (funny, cute, badass) than Orihime. I liked her (more than Orihime, actually)!

BUT, in the story's flow, the two girl are equals. I have not problems with any of them.

And Renji loved Rukia VVVVVERY more than Ichigo loved her. Moreover, Ichigo, more than chemistry, never showed feeling of true love for someone.

I loved Rukia. For her I'll take a man what only think about her and her wellness, and that is Renji. That's the way I see it.

  • Harry Potter - I keep reading statements like: "Hermione/Ron and Harry/Ginny (but I can admit that Ginny's and Ron character evolved in a horrible way - blame the Harry Hero Curse here) came out of nowhere", "Rowling even admit it she originally planned Harry/Hermione" etc. etc...

Sorry, it's not.

Rowling says a lot of things. :hm:

For instance, I assure you, she said (I read her interview at the time of the saga's end) that the Harry/Hermione shipper's views were 'delusional'! :wot:

I remember very well, I don't lie. Rowling is not better than Kishimoto. -_-

She is losing popularity, her new books don't sell very well and she needs money so she'll say: Silente is gay, Hermione is black, H/H was a thing, the 'Cursed Child' is canon and more and more for increasing sales. Please, don't take her words for good. :sweatdrop:

On Macross Frontier and Masamune I fully agree with you! For the second one, only the 'Omega' Aki's haters are pleased with it!! :cuss:

#965400 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Niky on 26 May 2018 - 10:26 AM in Icha Icha NaruSaku

A bit off topic and I don’t know if this is the just place for this post but… Let’s go!

I made a list with some manga/anime ending with no match at the story’s flow.

  • Uruseiyatsura (well done) – Lum was a secondary character (like Shampoo) but from the second episode of the manga (where she doesn’t show up) the fandom requests her permanent presence.
  • Tongareboshi no Memol (horribly done) – Into the final show’s final episodes the series’ nasty girl turns good (BUT they say that she was just jealous of the female protagonist) and steals the male protagonist (BUT they say that he loved the nasty girl all along and the girl protagonist thought of him only as a friend…) :wot:
  • Hikari no Densetsu (manga and anime end differently) – Into the manga the girl picks a guy, into the anime another boy.
  • Digimon – no comment.
  • Naruto – no comment. :argh:
  • Ichigo 100% (made in a passable way) – The story’s ending is different from the initial plan (for the polls results for the best girl too)… But it’s changed in progress and, ABOVE ALL, the author doesn’t trash her readers' intelligence.
  • Bleach (It can leave a bad taste but it’s well done) – The two main female protagonists are equally present for the whole story.
  • Harry Potter (made wrong) – I was a Ron/Hermione shipper but their (and Harry/Ginny) love’s story evolution was soooo shallow…
  • Ojamajo Doremi (manga and anime end differently) – In the anime the Flat 4 are quickly tossed aside, into the manga are the girls protagonists’ SOULMATES!!!
  • Macross Frontier (anime and movies end differently) – Ranka was the female protagonist but Sheryl’s great popularity (and the anime’s second director preference because he said he saw in her his own wife) changed the ending (unclear in the anime, with Sheryl’s winning in the movies). And one thing to notice is that in the movies several Ranka and Sheryl’s scenes are reversed.
  • Masamune-kun no revenge (horribly done) – Into the THREE FINAL EPISODES the winning girl is abruptly changed and he winner is the boobed maid (because the Japanese polls said her was the best girl)!!! Basically, think of a Ranma who, into three final episodes, tell you that he loved Shampoo all along and you’ll understand! :cuss:
  • Inugami-san to Sarutobi-kun wa Naka ga Warui (horribly done) – Same. Into the THREE FINAL EPISODES the winning girl is abruptly changed and he winner is the boobed maid… And it’s not a joke!! :wallbash:
  • Uchu Senshi Baldios (confused but made in an interesting way) – This is an old anime, with three main female protagonists. The studio was very unsure on the female winner (the thing to notice is that the female fandom loved the girl casted aside but the studio stayed firm on its choice) but, at the end, picked the (VERY) hate/love and true revenge relationship!!  I was fascinated with this story as a kid. Unfortunately, it’s a tragedy!!
  • Negima!! I don’t know what to say on this… - The author, at the end, talk, on the part of the male protagonist, of a though decision and true love… I think he picked his choice out of the hat (literally). :headscratch:

Finally, I am grateful to God for Warau Kanoko-Sama and Koi Dano Ai Dano, where the mangaka (she says no, but I think she realized the fandom turn of preference), when the male protagonist was overthrown from another character with an escalating popularity, put an end at her story in a few chapters… BUT in the way SHE wanted!! :thumb:

And you? Do you remember anything like this too?

It's certainly odd to see fans defend NH as the best ship only to admit the ending is awful. I mean, what do you do with that? You get what you want, but the execution was botched?

It's one thing to like something in spite of it's flaws. But would it kill the fans to admit the romantic sub-plot was handled badly? You can like the canon ships, but you have to acknowledge Kishimoto went about it the wrong way. He could have been straight forward with it, probably should have since I don't think love triangles work well in series like these, and he could have avoided the whole mess in this regard.

It's not that NH is the best ship. It's more that Hinata is the best low-maintenance woman.

As I understand, EVERY sub-plot (romantic one included) was handled badly from Kishimoto in Italian Fandom opinion. Hinata wife of their avatar Naruto was just a petty satisfaction.

It's a trend more and more visible, actually. The reader doesn't ascend to hero (role model)'s greatness but turns down the hero to his pettiness normality.

Well the game that Silver was introduced in is one of the few creative works in existence that might actually be worse than The Last. So that would make a lot of sense actually.

I know nothing about Sonic. How come?

Luckily, I was wrong! :D

@Tricksie

Your considerations make me remember why, at Naruto's end, I was more sympathetic and open-minded for Sakura than for Naruto.

Furthermore, if the Last' story is canon, Sakura has never fallen in love with Naruto because her first impression of him was correct: his always getting in the way of her love was for a RIVALRY GAME with Sasuke.

Hence, the first reason to hate her should crash.

But her haters are more alive than before! WHY???

And, a my little consideration about the Hinata love...

The Naruto Italian Fanbase, as I understand it, regards the Naruto's end as 'horrible'.

BUT they are the biggest fans of Naruto's wife choice.

I kindly note that this is not connected to Naruto's love for her (indeed, it almost like they think he doesn't love her) but to her money, social standing, blind devotion and love to HIM (inclusive of crazy high tolerance to his bad habit)... Oh, and let's no forget the big boobs!

These things added value to a relationship! To hell with the love for a woman!

At least, they are honest...

P.S. I was thinking where I'd last seen this reversal main heroine - secondary heroine... At the moment I just remember Macross Frontier. But it's done better.

:chuckle: That's a good joke, Niky

Thank you ! :hehehe:

But, well, I am already happy Akamatsu didn't go for the (more useful and active than Boruto's dad's wife, admittedly) Hinatata clone (I don't remember her name).

Every time I went to forum about Negima, I had to suffer her fanatics worship, lies and disregard for other Negima manga's girls (notably, Asuna)... AWFUL!! :argh:

#961206 The Great Naruto Discussion Thread

Posted by Niky on 05 February 2018 - 11:30 PM in Naruto General

Negima at least had ken Akumatsu admit he ended it poorly so they wouldn't exploit it when he was no longer writing it. He wanted to end the series, the studio wanted to keep it going with or without him...so he ended it in such a way that he couldn't exploit it without obvious cash in.

Yes, according to what I found about UQ Holder, Akumatsu at least used a more democratic method for the choice of Negi's wife...

#960801 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Niky on 28 January 2018 - 01:41 PM in Icha Icha NaruSaku

Hello guys, are you well ? :D

Yeah, I am not a big HP fan at all, but I feel like Rowling had no clue how to do romance. Those pairings had kitten-all going for them. Even Harry with the Asian girl would have been better.

It's like writers go out of their way not to do main x main even when it would obviously work out for the best. Why shouldn't the most significant female character be the one to stand by the hero? They're going to have the most experiences together as a matter of course.

Hermione was obviously the one who connected to Harry the most. There wasn't any indication that she loved him but there was nothing like that with Ron either until what, book 7? Nor were their interactions really good at all. Their childish arguing actually brought out the worst aspects of both characters, while both of them were obviously great towards Harry. It just seems like Rowling decided it arbitrarily because she didn't know how to write romance, sort of like Toriyama's pairings in Dragon Ball. Not that any of these even compare to the travesty that is NaruSaku not happening, but yeah.

On the contrary, I think this was an editorial choice in Harry Potter’s Books.

Harry is THE ABSOLUTE PROTAGONIST, the only HERO.

Everything in the books is meant to exist in relation to him.

So, Ron is the HARRY’s best friend, Cho Chang is the HARRY’s first, transient, experience of love; Hermione is the HARRY’s conscience and wisdom; Dumbledore is HARRY’s mentor; Draco is the HARRY’s bug (not enemy); Ginny is the HARRY’s girl; Voldemort is the HARRY’s evil enemy… etc. etc. :twitch:

Every character cannot and must not exceed its limit, overcome the protagonist, evolve itself to top (Ron and Draco are emblematic of this). :pinch:

Two are the exceptions: Hermione and Snape.

Frankly, on Harry/Hermione pairing and its fandom Rowling coasted until the end (and I was a Ron/Hermione shipper, but not happy with the ending outcome…) but Hermione, with this editorial scripting, didn’t have a chance to become HEROINE, namely an equal to Harry.

Snape was a possible dangerous rival for Harry’s popularity (in the adult fandom only) and I think it was difficult keep him and his interesting story and background at bay.

And don’t get me started on the Gryffindor glorification… It seemed the only house present in Hogwarts (because it’s the PROTAGONIST’s house). Slytherin was remembered more like its enemy and rival than other (I loved so much Hufflepuff...).

Mah!
