aw! Well hopefully, Aaron and his wife added the grit I loved into the mix. Also they helped with the boy!Toph -> girl!Toph conversion. HALLELUJAH
and AH I SEE. wow, sweet! gotta hand it to Ryu for the designs then. And Rubio did work with Rufftoon, he's by default cool.

Whoa whoa whoa. They're responsible for Toph being a girl??? I MUST MEET THEM NEXT YEAR!!!!! rawr.gif

and yeah I hope it was a slip of the tongue. Toph would be 87, which would make Katara and Azula 89, Sokka, Suki, Ty Lee 90 (I think), Zuko and Mai 91. No reason for them to kick the bucket well into their wrinkle years, at least not Toph. TOPHS IMMORTAL*

I will be fine with everyone dead, as long as Toph is still alive! I wanna see granny Toph!
Senile Toph is fine too.

Legend of Korra updates!

QUOTE
TZN: Will Aang in any way be in the series?

ANDREA ROMANO: I don't know how much of the series I'm allowed to tell you, but that whole generation has died. It's the next generation. So it's really cool. It's the same producers. It's the same brilliant attention to detail and I'm very excited. Right now we are just making twelve of them and we'll see what happens.

I'm guessing this is just a bad slip of the tongue. There is no reason for the rest of the gaang to be dead. Aang used up his extra avatar time and passed on, but the other characters should only be around 70 or 80 years old. There is no reason for them to die early.
Plus, people higher on the Korra production ladder haven't said this much about the fates of the other characters.

they wanted the environment of this big city to influence the music of it. I think I remember Bryan mentioning industrial or somehow it sounded like we might be able to use some of our electronic...know how or whatever...to enter it into some the score, which sounded pretty cool.

There's also something about referencing the sort of feeling of the roaring 20's because it's sort of around that period I guess.

It sort of sounds like it's going to be around the industrial revolution.

Right, and so it's like, how do you use the Roaring Twenties with an Asian feel? It'll be an interesting challenge. That's one of the ideas that have been thrown on the table. Who knows what will actually happen in the end, but it was one of things that Bryan mentioned and seemed like an interesting idea. It's not like these traditional instruments will be abandoned but I'm sure the instrumentation will be different.

It will be great to see the music evolve with the rest of the Avatar universe.

and Aaron Ehasz wasn't there? Or his wife? I wanna meet those two so bad. Such awesome writers. speaking of, what do all those other people do? I don't recognize the names Ryu and Rubio.

Rufftoon smelled of cinnamon, lemonade and fresh summer days. She was the highlight of Comic Con for me.

I don't think Aaron was there. Hopefully next year!
Ryu was the main character designer (he was at the main signing), and Rubio was a storyboard artist. Rufftoon told me to get it signed by Rubio.

More info! =D
http://blogs.wsj.com...he-new-spinoff/
"Mike and Bryan confirm that Katara is indeed the mother of Tenzin, and that Aang died early because he sort of burned up some of his extra time during his 100 years in the iceberg."
Mike and Bryan don't seem very pleased when asked about the movie, and I don't blame them.

QUOTE (Kodachi Claws @ Jul 21 2010, 08:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Now, I'm a bit suspicious of the info the link is giving us. First off, it's from a deviantart page, not an official source.

Click the sources linked on the DA page. I linked the DA Journal because GreenifyME is a great source for breaking ATLA news. Some simple Google searching would have also confirmed it.

QUOTE (catsi563 @ Jul 21 2010, 08:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
thats steampunk, as long as they dont clutter the landscape with guns the story shouldnt really be that different.

At Comic Con this past weekend, I was able to ask Mike and Bryan about the presence of guns. They confirmed that there would be no guns in 'The Legend of Korra'. They said they want to avoid them for as long as possible.

I also asked them about a blu-ray release for ATLA, and they said that would probably never happen. They said it would require far too much work/rework to make. So for everyone holding out on blu-ray, it seems the DVD releases will have to be enough.

To all you worrying about steampunk, calm down! The Avatar team crafted a wonderful world with the first series, why do you think they would screw it up? If you honestly think 'The Legend of Korra' will fail solely based on that fact that one city will be created around steampunk, you seriously lack critical thinking processes.

"The Legend of Korra" officially announced!

http://greenifyme.de...urnal/33704344/

SUMMARY: The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender and follows the adventures of the Avatar after Aang – a passionate, rebellious, and fearless teenaged girl from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra. With three of the four elements under her belt (Earth, Water, and Fire), Korra seeks to master the final element, Air. Her quest leads her to the epicenter of the modern “Avatar” world, Republic City – a metropolis that is fueled by steampunk technology. It is a virtual melting pot where benders and non-benders from all nations live and thrive. However, Korra discovers that Republic City is plagued by crime as well as a growing anti-bending revolution that threatens to rip it apart. Under the tutelage of Aang’s son, Tenzin, Korra begins her airbending training while dealing with the dangers at large.

Apparently the writers/creators ventured onto some forums and learned about 'shipping' from them.

OHHHHH They learned about shipping alright!

Many people starting shipping Mike and Brian together. Needless to say, Mike and Brian became extremely PISSED off at the whole Avatar community. Major fights between the creators and the fans broke out. The Avatar team was always close with the fans, so they felt this was a major betrayal.

I am with the people who say Karins whole back-story seemed made up on the spot. My biggest problem with it being that she is a sensor type and yet couldn't sense either the bear or her teammates positions. It was like Kishi knew he wanted Sasuke to have saved her so he threw together a cliche scene that made little sense. Also, the smile was really weird. Not sure what it meant o.O

I'm glad Naruto is acting like himself again. It would be ooc for him to abandon his teammates, no matter how mad at them he was. I think I'll be bracing myself for Sakura to, once again, be a huge failure. Sadly. Hopefully she will heal Karin though.

I don't think its thrown together. She was young, maybe she hadn't developed her abilities, or wasn't taught how. Sakura was the same during that period of time.

I think her flashbacks are a good thing. It finally gives her character a bit of depth for her Sasuke love. It was hinted at before, when they first met. She mentioned that she had been watching/following him.

#257615 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Posted by blindeye on 01 February 2010 - 07:31 AM in Gamer Lounge

Yeah, I beat that by myself.

I looked up the level online and found out that the AI was broken. (Makes complete sense, as you probably agree.) If you get in the view of ANY sniper, he shoots you instantly. Never misses.

The way I did it is this:

I approached from the right side. I waited until that guy walked out past the car. I shot him right when he got to the small fence.
After that I approached crouched, and sniped the soldier in the right house through the window. Next I approached the left house. And took out the 2 guys inside the stable area with a single shot. While doing this, guys will come out from the front of the house. I shot them on sight. After the double kill, go into where they were. Look directly to your right and there might be another soldier there, if he didn't come out and get shot by you already. After the houses are cleared, you get to the hard part. Remember the AI sniper with elite haxors? Well they are even worse now.
Go into the right house and slowly walk across the windows until you get shot. Heal and repeat until you locate the sniper. Shoot anything that you think is the sniper. Repeat this with each window. Then repeat it with the walkway between the two houses. This part gets tricky as the snipers often switch places and move around.
Expose your self, get shot, heal, repeat until sniper is located and kill him. Sadly, this is the only way to do it. Not stealth at all, but IW doesn't seem to care about realistic game play.

Ohh yeah, I forgot something. Use grenades when facing only snipers. Spam them like crazy on the last part of the level, after the two houses. Those damn snipers are impossible to find. Their loud explosions don't seem to alert anybody. Only soldiers who walk around seem to notice explosions. So much for stealth game play...

#257299 A Simple Way To Help Those In Need

The Hunger Site

On that web page there is a button. When you click that button the website donates 1.1 cups of food to the hungry. They are able to do this through ad revenue and sponsors.
At the top of the site are links to five other causes: Breast Cancer, Child Health, Literacy, Rainforest, and Animal Rescue.

You can click the button for each cause once per day. That is only six clicks per day to help make a difference.

If you click those links every day for 1 year you will have donated 219 bowls of food to animals, 401.5 cups of food to the hungry, and saved 4161 square feet of the Rain Forest. Not to mention helping women receive free mammograms and aiding children with health care and literacy.

Does this sound too good to be true? Check it out for yourself.

I'll put a crazy theory out there.

What if this has been Itachi all along? "Sasuke" was just a jutsu to fool others. Becoming Sasuke would allow him access to Danzo and to Madara's good side.

Or perhaps Itachi implanted himself into Sasuke just like Orochimaru did? Waiting until he had the opportune moment to strike at Danzo.

Ahhh... I miss the days when Republicans were actually conservatives, back when they pushed for smaller government. Republicans and Democrats are too alike now.

"Conservative," the media has given that word such an evil name, just like the word "Liberal" changed meanings during the Bush administration. I wish words like these would keep a constant meaning, it would make politics less ugly and hateful.

I can't speak for the Christian Science Monitor since I don't read it and know very little about it, but the BBC? It's bias is legendary.

The Christian Science Monitor is known for being one of the more impartial news organizations.

I didn't realize that about the BBC. (I honestly haven't followed news for a while. Got fed up with it.)
Could you provide some solid links on the BBC's bias? Blogs tend to say its anti-right, but most of the stuff I find is too emotionally driven.

Fox News: Fair & Balanced... as long as no one points out what's between the lines.
Fox News again accused of airing misleading video.

Personally, I'm not really surprised. Every news station probably has their own biases even if they're not supposed to. If there's anything to learn from this it is that we should not believe everything we hear from the media. People make your own decisions; Form your own opinions based on what you research and stop letting people like Beck and Hannity tell you what to think. /endrantfornow dry.gif

Thank you. Its nice to hear someone say that "Every news station probably has their own biases even if they're not supposed to." Instead of the whole "Only Faux News leads the gullible masses." If people held a microscope to other news stations, like they do to Fox News, they would see they're almost all the same.

Every news station is biased and presents fake doctored fear mongering news. Some of the few exceptions are the BBC and Christian Science Monitor, and even then you should be careful.

I can back this up with first hand accounts (reputable witnesses) I've listened to, but I'm too tired to type stories right now. I can provide them later if anyone wants.

I've had the same issue here. My log in problems started a week ago as well.
My other log on cookies are fine too.

Edit: I remembered another problem I started having, its with Facebook. Recently Firefox/Facebook has stopped remembering to put my email and password into the log on input fields on the Facebook main page. Also, I have to click on "View Live Feed" every time I log on instead of Facebook remembering like it used to. I don't know if these problems are from Firefox or Facebook, but I thought they might be relevant because they started occurring within the past week.

Sakura wouldn't allow him to act that way- epecially after what Sai said. And look at the Sanin fight to see how it messed things up for Tsunade to play that game with Shizune and Jiraiya (Naruto was already unconcious and she didn't think he'd wake up until after that day). No, Sakura will be in the fight, Kishimoto has already let you know that. And also remember how Kishimoto emphasizes teamwork and companionship. Sakura's no Rin or Karin, she can fight. Besides did you see Naruto telling Sakura to stay back the last time they faced Sasuke, or the last time they searched for Sasuke either? No, he didn't. He only snuck off this time without her because he saw she was emotionally traumatized. If he sees she's fired up he won't act like she's a helpless maiden. He knows better.
