Just read a good Naru/Saku story. Can't remember if it's been mentioned here before: What You Don't Know Can Hurt You.
Story about Naruto and Sakura, set after the war. Interesting plot and good characterizations. And it leaves out Sasuke as a motivator and Hinata as romantic tension, which I find really refreshing!
Oh yeah, and peanutbutter126 has updated her fic too, which is just a great excuse to go back and read all the whole thing all over again! My Life Would Suck Without You

I already posted that story here a few months ago. And I wonder why no one noticed it until now.... 
Anyways, you know what's the big kicker?? his/her previous N/S story was crap, but with this new story, it's like the author was transformed overnight. Seriously, if you read the author's previous work and this one, you can hardly tell it's made by the same person. That, and the fact that the author had Sakura change her hair color (for good reason), makes the story pretty awesome and I like how he/she's playing with it.

So it's actually worth reading? I remember the last fic this person wrote and he or she failed to comprehend that even though they claimed the fic was NaruSaku, they had botched up the charactors so much, that it felt like a bash fic for both Naruto and Sakura, infact I think I started rooting for Hinata in that one....The way they screwed up Sakura and Naruto's charactor was unforgivable, and then to make matters worst they showed Kushina as a weak host for Kyuubi. The fact they failed to see the flaws in their previous works makes me reluctent to give them a second try.

Yeah, I'd recommend giving it a shot. Codus said essentially the same thing and he seems to like it as well.

Crazy! That's what Codus said. Well, from the looks of this one it's pretty standard NS. No bashing at all. I suspect there will be some tension in the future between Naruto and Sakura, so the tone may change.... But right now, I thought it was a decent, well-written story, with an interesting plot and characters who are not radically different from canon.
And if his/her writing has really changed dramatically, then definitely mention it in a review. Positive feedback for improving writers is always a good thing. People so often jump in when they have something to criticize, but not-so-much when it's about improvements. Who knows? Maybe it will inspire him to write more!
edit: alright...yeah.... I read some of the last story back (Seal the Deal, I think it's called?). I didn't go any farther back, but I see what you mean. Definitely out of character and not at all something I would read. But right now the current story seems to be along the lines that H&E readers would like. Shout out if it changes though.

I'm a lurker and not much for self-pimping, but since several members here seemed to enjoy the last Naruto/Sakura story I wrote well enough to say nice things about it here, I thought I'd mention my new one.
Wilderness is definitely AU but based on very current manga events. It will explore what could possibly happen between our favorite pair if a set of circumstances allowed them enough time alone when the stakes -- and tensions -- are high. The first chapter was posted on 1/10.
