Exactly. And that panel Codus used is a freaking neon sign making our point, not Pierrot's. More clear manga canon proof how off Pierrot's portrayal is. Note- unlike Studio Pierrot's having her react to photos- and note photos- not people dying right in front of her in the moment- thus removed from her, reaction: she's not near throwing up or shrieking... In that manga canon image she is- grim faced, but calm and serious with it happening all around her to people she knows, no less- exactly how I'd expect Sakura to react. Sakura has spent nearly four years now as a battlefield doctor, as has been noted she wasn't freaking out or nearly throwing up during the destruction of Konoha- it's been noted how she was calm and in control when there were piles of bodies around during that, but also earlier during that arc, when she was the one at the head of treating all the injured- and if you've ever seen pictures of hundreds or thousands of people who've had buildings fall on them it's as gory as any battlefield scene.... and again, these were people she actually interacted with on a regular basis. The only reaction we got to all the injuries was that she was getting physically worn out from treating them all.... no shrieking or nearly throwing up from blood and guts right in front of her- of people she knew...

Agreed like I said they should fire the biased Pierot team and let the good anime team that follows Kishimoto's manga take over.

@Codus N, war is definitely terrible but it's not like the ninja's haven't been fighting before. I mean, people didn't come to her with paper-cuts and rashes to be healed.
ummm. idk if anyone said this but in the new ova isnt sakura with naruto when its over and naruto and sasuke seem injured. but shes still with naruto in yhe ova sooooo. that answers it she will save naruto instead of sasuke..

Besides, I mentioned it in the essay I wrote earlier, but blood and gore isn't something that everyone gets used to. Even experienced members of the medical field can have a tough time stomaching more brutal images. My mom works as a nurse, and she certainly isn't desensitized to excessive gore. In fact, she's generally the first one to leave when my family watches a horror/gory movie. I think it's a matter of resolve, it's easier to handle seeing that sort of thing when you're prepared for it than when you're off-duty, like Sakura was.
Plus, I might be forgetting something, but I think even Tsunade had hemophobia when she was first introduced. Though I'm not sure if she just permanently got over that or what. *shrug*
But maybe I'm over-thinking it, I guess it's just the anime.
I actually thought about that too, and I think that line might play into that scenario somehow. I still think we'll see a situation similar to that OVA in the canon, and Sakura will witness both Naruto and Sasuke getting badly hurt. And we see by how that ended who she truly cares about.

Oh, really?? remember how Kishi stated that Sakura is his "most realistic character" and the fact that you sang praises about it?? and now you're being a hypocrite by wanting Pierrot to "desentize" her reaction. Her reaction here is the most realistic reaction there is and it's completely in line with with Kishi's intentions for her character. What Sakura saw was things worse than she ever saw in her whole life as a medic-nin. It's also completely in line with Nagato's messages about war. War is hell, and it's nothing like you've seen before (to Naruto). That also applies to the rest of the Konoha 11.
So Sakura's reaction was excellent to me and completely fits Nagato's message. The Konoha 11 is about to face something they've never seen before and Sakura's reaction to those photos was because the injuries, corpses' conditions were on a whole other level than she's seen before.
And your Pain arc as proof is weak IMO. Pain's jutsus were actually just the tip of the iceberg of what's to come. That's also the whole point of that arc.

I can't say it any better than you, Boom. Ciardha has always argued how one of the things that makes Sakura compatible is how similar she is to Naruto on some level. And yet, here ciardha believes she should be more static. And your argument about being off-duty affects their reactions sound plausible.

I don't think it's about what's more gruesome or not. War is different than injury. Just the atmosphere with people all around you dying constantly and watching the people you're trying to save die underneath you. While the Pain invasion certainly was harsh, I don't think it lasted long enough. It was only a few hours before everyone had been revived. These ninja aren't going to be revived...(or at least I hope not)

- No, you're actually right - Tsunade is a hemophobic. And it's shown in the manga canon. If I'm correct, she started to be afraid of blood when Dan died right in front of her (on the battlefield, during one of the Great Ninja Wars), covered in blood. And I'm pretty sure she still can't stand it.
- Did anyone here notice that in the OVA it seems like Sasuke isn't injured at all (compared to Naruto). I was thinking, maybe Sakura healed him first, but when she returned to save Naruto it was too late? (well, we know that it was a happy ending after all)

Ah, you are welcome.
That baby's voice is still a mystery to me. I don't have a clue why did they put it in the OVA in the first place.

I noticed that too, but if she did how come Sasuke get's up in a pile of rubble instead of getting up someplace less ruined?

Yup, that's pretty much along the lines of what I was trying to say. The episode was merely to show about how War is completely different on a whole other level than they've faced. And they did it pretty well. Even with Sakura. Granted, it's not the best, but still goes nicely with the message that the war would be on a whole different scale than she's faced. That's the main point of her scene.
