1) What color is it actually? I've seen it sold in blue and light green, in he show it looks like either sometimes.
2) Does anyone have one? If so, how do you like it?
3) Also where would you recommend buying one?

1)Kishimoto drew it as turquoise colored (blue-green)
2)I have one of both colors I like the green best because the blue is too blue compared to the color Kishimoto drew it as, the green is closer. I sometimes wear it when I cosplay as Tsunade at anime conventions
3)I bought both of mine at anime conventions.

That's cool that you have both and that you cosplay as tsunade...so you would recommend green, I actually thought the blue looks more like Naruto's and I thought the green looked to green. How did you pay for one of them?

heh, unlike in the manga, they aren't terribly expensive - I paid somewhere from 5-10 dollars for each one.

Don't worry I completely understand, I actually thought the same thing. First off it's a great and historic item in the world of Naruto and they just had it destroyed like that. Secondly I can't describe how awesome that would have been if Naruto to gives/gave it Sakura, almost like a weeding ring.

Hmm, well Kishimoto did say in that manga arc that the First Hokage had made of two of them. Will he bring this back up? Will it play a role in story? If so who has the other necklace?

I'm down with changing the direction of this thread, to talk more about the necklace itself....but could you help me decide whether its green or blue.

Since I have them both I can tell you in person the blue is too bright and kind of shiny, and since Kishimoto drew it as turquoise, shading toward green- I say green. The green is just slightly too green and just looks less shiny. That online picture of the green a necklace is much greener than the actual product looks in person. The picture of it as the cell phone accessory against the person's hand is about what the green actually looks like

Wasn't that just a dubbing mistake in the english dub or is that just narutopedia getting the facts wrong?
Or are you referring to some kind of interview?

It is the opposite for me, I feel like the blue one is the actual color and the green looks cooler.

Kishimoto colored it blue-green, leaning toward green, the blue is way too bright and shiny. If you look at the Naruto artbooks- especially the first one- Uzumaki, where Kishimoto's color illustrations of Tsunade wearing the necklace are reproduced close to the original size (his color drawings are slightly shrunk down for the magazine, and way shrunk down for the manga volumes) you can see the color best. It's mainly green with just slight shading toward blue in the drawings where Tsunade is wearing it. It's not very shiny either. just a dull shine like the green looks in person.

The reason why the necklace was destroyed was simple: it meant that Naruto had no choice but to take control of the Nine-Tail's power. By losing the necklace's protection, and meeting his father and understanding why the Fox was sealed within him, followed by his encounters with Nagato and Sasuke, made him realise he no longer had a reason to ignore or run away from the problem. If he wanted to 'deal' with the Sasuke/Madara situation, and to stop things like what happened with Sakura and Hinata from happening again, he would have to confront the Fox once and for all and make that power his own.

i know I'm asking for a lot,but do you think you could put up the link for the image. Also if it is not too much trouble, do you think you could put up a picture of each of your necklaces? I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.

They are in the artbooks, you can probably google search the pictures, just google image seach Tsunade. One should be really easy to find as it was the front cover to one of part 1's volumes. At work right now, so I can't acess either the artbook or the manga volume cover.

So I am at work right now ( I work at a library) and in the graphic novel section we have the first Naruto art book ( I know it's pretty cool, we have a bunch of manga and comic books) and in the one picture of tsunade with her necklace it looks more green then usual, but still not green like the one they sell and in the anime it's more blue then green IMO
